Fernandes would carefully look through, slightly smiling at the changes requested. "Thank you, Minister. This looks very good. I am willing to sign it now, if you are too?"

If Minister Akhmetov agrees to the signing of the document, DH Fernandes would sign it there.

The two would move to a well-lit, polished conference room. A large wooden table stood in the center of the room, and the flags of India and Russia were placed behind the two ministers. The mood was calm as both sides prepared to finalize a crucial agreement.

Fernandes sat at one end of the table. His hands rested lightly on the agreement before him. His eyes flicked through the document one last time. He noticed the changes that had been requested. He glanced up at Minister Akhmetov, the Russian Minister of Defense, who was seated across from him. Akhmetov respectfully nods, awaiting the signal.

Akhmetov’s eyes shifted slightly to the document before him. After a brief pause, he nodded with approval. "Yes, we can sign it right away."

Akhmetov signaled to his aide. The aide quickly moved forward with two clean copies of the document, placing them before both ministers. Each copy was adorned with the official seals of both nations.

Akhmetov’s hand moved toward the pen. "Minister Fernandes," Akhmetov said "it is a great honor to finalize this agreement with you today."

With a final glance at the document, Fernandes signed the first copy with a deliberate stroke, then pushed it across the table to Akhmetov. The Russian minister took his turn. The two ministers exchanged copies, each holding the signed agreement before them.

Akhmetov smiled slightly. "This marks the beginning of a new chapter in our cooperation." The two shook hands firmly.

Fernandes would slightly smile as he was shaking hands with Akhmetov. "Indeed. The most populous cooperative agreement in the world."

Fernandes would then ask, "Minister, shall we return to the last room to further discuss the other points I listed before?"

"Yes Please," Akhmetov said taking them back to the main room where they could discuss the remaining points. "Please, Mnister, you have the floor."

"Thank you. I'd like to propose that the Indian Armed Forces and the Russian Armed Forces engage in semi-frequent small and medium-scale military exercises, primarily with our Navies and Air (and Space) Forces. If you are interested, I will introduce GIN Group Captain Suresh Bhadra to talk about Navy exercises."

"My government would be eager to hold small and medium scale exercises with India and of course enhance our military capabilities together," Akhmetov said to Fernandes. "Please. Captain, you have the floor" Akhmetov sai,d looking at the GIN Group Captain.

"Minister, the GIN would like to hold quad-yearly exercises with the Russian Navy, either taking place in the Indian Ocean, Sea of Japan, the Norwegian Sea, the Barents Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Mediterranean Sea or the Black Sea. These would, preferably, involve submarines, surface ships and aircraft from both our Navies. The ASF also wishes to host small-scale joint fighter exercises in India and Russia."
