Greetings to Mr. Anthony McCormack,

My name is Klaus Kinkel. I am the Vice Chancellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Federal Republic of Germany. I am currently contacting you today in an effort to establish formal contact and to discuss the availability of trade opportunities. We would like to congratulate the Hamilton Administration on its recent election victory and look forward to working closely with your government. We would like to send Ambassador Klaus Zeller to represent us in Canberra if that is permitted. We would also like to offer our ship building services in efforts to help get your trading fleet up and running. Our GDE exports web page offers a number of options on transport vessels. I've included a link at the bottom of this email.

I look forward to working with you in the future.

Greetings to Mr. Anthony McCormack,

We will have Ambassador Zeller flying out first thing Monday morning. I think he will represent us well. Did you have someone in mind for your embassy here in Berlin?

I would like to get a feel for the new Australian Government. What are your hopes and aspirations Australia? How do you see Australia fitting into current World affairs? Do you have an domestic ambitions? Does the Hamilton Administration have an official opinion on the issues currently going on in the Antarctic? The previous administrations I know had some very strong stances. We are very interested in getting to know our friends in the southern hemisphere better.

Would you be interested in any trade negotiations? We have just finished our Merchant fleet and trade with Australia would be some of the longest routes we have ever had. What are your domestic exports?

I eagerly await your reply.

Regards,
Klaus Kinkel

Dear Mr Kinkel,

It will be a pleasure to meet the Ambassador and I await for his safe arrival here at my office. Does he require any transport?

In regards to your questions I will answer them for you below:

-Hopes, Aspirations and World Affairs
At the moment for us, we do wish to keep to our own affairs however helping wherever needed e.g aid towards countries if needs be. We do wish to be a prominent figure in the world, but as not as seen as a world power if that makes any sense. As our Armed Forces continue to build, we are hoping to learn from the best.
-Domestic Aspirations
We do not intend to build a massive armed forces or anything. Our aspirations remain that the Australian Armed Forces remain primarily a defence force for our country but as stated as above to give aid to whoever that requires it. We do wish to help our contact our friends in New Zealand and Fiji to gather relations with them.

-Antarctica Stance
We have no official stance on Antarctic situation as this administration was elected just as the issue rose. I believe it is Sweden claiming territory i'm I correct?

Hope these answers help.

Hello again Mr. Anthony McCormack,

Ambassador Zeller will be flying in on a commercial flight unfortunately. Our Air Special Task force planes are still currently being built. But this isn't an issue for Ambassador Zeller since we feel that Australia has completely safe air travel. Plus it gives him a chance to talk with people along his route and get a better feel for the new nation in which he is stationed.

I've read your last message about keeping to ones own affairs and completely understand. Have you thought about about international trading? One might not want to get involved in international politics but the international markets are another beast entirely. Have you had any thoughts about purchasing any merchant vessels? Our shipyards here in Hamburg have recently just unveiled two new classes of transport ship. The Hapag-Lloyd Dallas Express-Class and the Hapag-Lloyd Kobe Express-Class respectively. The Dallas class has 4890 TEU cargo capacity and has a cruising speed of 21.5 knots. The Kobe class has a smaller 4612 TEU cargo capacity but is faster at 24 knots. We think they are excellent vessels for new nations just getting started in exporting to the global markets. We can have some pricing drawn up you if you were interested, but no pressure.

We would like to help the Nation of Australia in anyway we can. We had such great help from nations like Sweden and the United Kingdom and feel we should pay it forward so to speak. We have since joined the Nordic Council in an observer role. It is a collection of like minded democracies who work closely together on defense, immigration, and trade. In an observer capacity we can see if the Nordic council is a good fit for Germany and see if it fills the role left open by the dissolution of NATO. How do you feel about a large alliances forming in the modern era? Should nations work more independently from one another?

I hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,
Klaus Kinkel

Dear Mr Kinkel,

We are wanting to initiate international trading with everyone we feel that benefits us entirely. We are infact actually looking at in the process of merchant vessels before with engage with sorting trade agreements with yourselves and several other countries. At the moment we are also trying to turn our attention on building our defence force.

A alliance we feel can turn into two ways for us. It can be seen as a 'world police' type of thing or an alliance that actually benefits for the world cause and nations that are together ensure each others countries are stable and help each other wherever needed. I do like the idea of the alliances however as stated they can always turn out to be two ways.

Hello again Mr. Anthony McCormack,

I'm afraid that some of these new relationships are about to be tested. I am not sure if you are aware of the situation that currently building in Romania. It seems that they are refusing to acknowledge the legitamacy of the Moldavian government. They are making public statements about Moldova needing to be returned to Romania. This type of language reeks of someone who intends on invasion. The democracies of the world might be forced to act. Have you had any contact with the Romanian government? Would your government support a GA resolution that impose sanctions should they be found threatening the sovereignty of Moldova?

Moving back to trade. Would you be interested in importing anything from Germany? We offer exports of Motor Vehicles, Machinery, Computer and Electronic Products, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Instruments.?

Dear Mr Kinkel,

We have been keeping an eye on the Romanian aggression that has been shown towards Moldova. We have not had any contact so far with the Romanian Government, however yes we would be supporting a GA resolution that imposes sanctions on Romania.

Towards trade, of course we would be interested! We offer: Coal, Petroleum, Natural Gas, Aluminium & Nickel Gas. We can sort an agreement once your Ambassador arrives at my office.

Hello Anthony McCormack,

My name is Ambassador Klaus Zeller. I have just arrived here in Canberra. My staff and I are just getting settled in. I would like to say how beautiful your country is and how well we have been welcomed by its people. We are very eager to get to right to work here at the embassy. I have prepared a short list of topics to go over with you here in this email.

First off, regarding trade, We want to make Australia our main trading partner in the Pacific. We are looking to build five new vessels to enable us to send all of our exports down to your ports in the south pacific and return with your goods. Our merchant fleet will be able to handle all of the logistics. We are hoping to import Coal, Petroleum, Natural Gas, Aluminum and Nickel. I would like to propose a mutual trade with us sending down Motor Vehicles, Machinery, Computer and Electronic Products, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Instruments. Since we will be doing a mutual one for one trade we see no reason to charge tariffs on any of the goods leaving our ports. We hope you feel the same. We would like to have these shipments send weekly when at all possible. The last thing I would need to note here in the trade is what port will you be operating from? All of our journeys will start from the Port of Hamburg.

I also wanted to bring up the subject of visas. I believe that our two nations could benefit from easier movement between countries for our citizens. If we were to make visa applications easier to complete by our citizens and make them last longer, our citizens could have an easier time working abroad, going to university, or just simply visiting. This would no doubt improve the lives of our citizens and strengthen both of our respective economies. What are your thoughts?

I look forward to working with you in the future.
