Dear Minister Silva,

I believe its time to put the past behind us. So therefore I write this email to hopefully put a foot in the right direction between our two nations, I understand you are hesitant to contact us or even reply to an email due to the severe actions from the previous administrations of Germany however that is in the past and this administration is looking to set things right and hopefully move forward with relations between Brazil and Germany. I look forward to a reply and hopefully a meeting in the near future.

Yours,
Mr Eric Wurfel
Minister of State for South American Affairs

Dear Minister Wurfel,

Thank you for the letter and the sentiments. And, yes, I also believe it is time to move forward. Let us start with trade. I will fax you a list of our top 5 exports. You can take a look at the list and decide what you would like to import from Brazil and in what intervals and to which port those items would be imported to.

Vice versa, please send me a list of your top exports so Brazil can decide what we would like to import.

Moments later a fax from Brasilia arrives in Berlin.

Brazil Exports:
1. Ethanol Fuel (85% of world production)
2. Oil Seeds (2nd in world; soybeans, non-GMO)
3. Raw Sugar (52% of world market)
4. Beef (2nd in world, 15% of market)
5. Poultry (3rd in the world)

Dear Minister Silva,

I thank you for the quick response however Germany cannot start trade as of yet, while we are still in the early stages of starting up and sorting out the mess the previous administrations left the nation in. However once the trade ministry is set up, we will be more than gladly offer trade and will approach you in the future once this is ready.

I'd like to offer a state visit to Germany from yourself to discuss relations between our two nations, We'd also like to as a gesture of good will offer a Non-Aggression Pact to be able to strive for peace and a prosperous relation between our two nations. Let me know of your thoughts regarding this.

Yours,
Mr Eric Wurfel
Minister of State for South American Affairs
