"Dear President de Gama, My government would like to move forward in developing formal relations with Portugal. We believe there are many security, economic and social mutual benefits to developing close ties. We would like to discuss a military co-operation treaty, economy ties and embassy representation in each others nations. If Permitted, I would like to make an official visit to Portugal to allow us to discuss how we can move these relations going forward? I would be grateful if a date of convenience could be set for a small delegation to join me in visiting you. Look forward to hearing back from you. Yours Sincerely, The Right Hon. John Harrington Prime Minister of Canada Bruno |
