The Portuguese Government were invited to a video call with the British Secretary of State for International Development, Leon Hurst MP, to discuss the possibilities of trade routes between the two countries. Identifying it as a loss that the two countries who have had years of friendship, have no resemblance for active trade.

The Portuguese Minister of the Economy would engage with the British Secretary, in a private and encrypted video call.

"Hello! Its good to see you, how is everything going in Britain? Hopefully well?"

"Hello, likewise to you too! All seems to be going well.. for now anyway" he'd chuckle slightly, "You know how quickly the tide can change. Although I'd like to discuss, not one, but extensive trade routes between Portugal and Britain. We would like to open a route, primarily to the Falkland Islands, delivering to them the main exports that Portugal has to offer. Footwear, Clothing, Furniture, Paper and Plastics. Ideally as a monthly trip to the islands as this would support. In regards to this, not as something to trade, but a purchase of these goods to be delivered to the islands. Is this something you may be able to help with?

Additionally, we'd like to open a route between Portugla and the UK and would like to import furniture from Portugal. In return, we'd like to offer Organic Mechanical Machinery, or even Electrical if you'd prefer. These would run as daily trips between Portugal and the United Kingdom. Hosted in Portsmouth for us. We would also like to know whether importing cars into Portugal is something you'd be keen on investing in?"

"We can assure you that we can deliver this goods to the Falklands, easily." He would chuckle. "Well that's a lot to go through, we can certainly send Footwear, Clothing, Furniture, Paper and Plastics to the Falklands. And then Furniture to the UK,Portsmouth. In exchange for this I believe that to cover the Falklands route, Electrical Machinery would be marvellous and to cover the UK route Cars would also be gigantic.

So in the clear: From Portugal:
Trade route from Sines Port, Portugal to Falklands Port, UK would consist of Footwear, Clothing, Furniture, Paper and Plastics.
Trade Route from Sines Port, Portugal to Portsmouth, UK would consist of Furniture.

And from the UK would be:
Trade Route from Portsmouth, UK to Sines Port, Portugal would bring Electrical Machinery and Cars

Is this correct and find for you? If you do not want to export anything to cover the Falklands Trade Route, we could just charge a small price for that. But this way it seems fair on both Countries."

"That looks perfect to me. Our Navy is maintaining a constant vessel presence in the South Atlantic which would be able to monitor any security implications on the trade vessels. Given the distance to the Falklands, your route to the Falklands ought to be in Monthly Intervals. Whilst the route between Portugal and the UK could be looked into daily if this is something you're happy to accommodate for?"

"Yes, that could be very well arranged! So should we sign on this? So that the Trade may flow freely?"

The British delegate marked his electronic signature on the trade agreement, nodding "We've signed. It'll be a pleasure doing business with you. Is there anything else you'd like to discuss in the meantime?"
