Your Excellency,
In my authority as the Minister of War and Defence for the Honourable Company of India, I would like to inquire on the possibility of the export of two Turkish products for use with the Honourable Company Armed Forces.
The products are the following:
- Bayraktar TB2 MALE UCAV; and
- Otokar Tulpar Infantry Fighting Vehicle
If these two products would be available for export, then we would like to purchase a total of 90 (15 systems) Bayraktar TB2s for use in our Air Force and a total of 766 Otokar Tulpar IFVs for use in our Army. Furthermore, an limited production license for 1 Juan Carlos-class amphibious assault ship, with a possibility to extend that to a total of 7. Lastly, we would also be interested in a proposal where the Company would be permitted to build our HAL Tejas Mk.1 multirole fighter using Turkiye's advanced manufacturing capabilities, to then be shipped to the Honourable Company's lands. We would be able to give two different forms of payment for this, either a) 5% of the cost of construction given to Turkiye as payment—a total of 1.15 million per aircraft; or b) we would be willing to give Turkiye the capabilities of producing these fighters domestically at no cost, with the sole guideline being that these fighters can never end up in foreign hands.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Sincerely,
Lord Julian Harcourt
Minister of War and Defence
Honourable Indian Company
Jay
