The Indian Intelligence Organisation (IIO) is the only foreign intelligence agency of the Gandhi Empire. The agency's primary function is gathering foreign intelligence, counter-terrorism, counter-proliferation, advising Indian policymakers, and advancing India's foreign strategic interests. The IIO's objectives include monitoring the political, military, economic and scientific developments in countries which have a direct bearing on India's national security. It's many divisions, organisations and agencies hold all matter of roles, including the formulation of foreign policy; moulding international public opinion and influence foreign governments; Covert Operations to safeguard India's national interests; intelligence analysis; signals, electrical, and communication intelligence collection and analysis; offensive and defensive cyberwarfare; and anti-terror operations and neutralising elements posing a threat to India.
The IIO is structured in two ways: horizontally and vertically. Vertically, each Section contains members of one or more Divisions, which makes up a Service. Sections are split by technical skill, whether it be ELINT analysis, or COMINT collection, etc. Divisions are split by discipline; whether that be COMINT, information warfare or TECHINT, etc.
Horizontally, each Section is assigned a geographic area to conduct their gathering and analysis operations within. No matter the Service or Division, the Sections work independently to collect their assigned intelligence and analyse it, and pass both the pre-analysed and post-analysed intelligence on to the Area analysts. Area Joint Secretaries are assigned command over Areas, and the Sections of different Services working on that Area.
