Ministry of Defense,
Tehran, Kingdom of Èran
To: Deputy Secretary of Defense, Nickolas House, Department of Defence, United States - Odinson
Status: Confedential
Dear Secretary House,
as under our former Government Iran followed a hostile diplomacy towards the free world, and tried in isolation to arm itself as much as possible, Iran has developed the F-5
HESA Azarakhsh in 1997. In our attempt to join the community of the world again as a state, guided by sovereignty, democracy and legitimate diplomacy, we would like to pursue a license for our domestically produced version of the USA F-5, mainly as a training Plain for our armed forces, which could be produced in Iran itself.
Therefore my office hereby asks formaly, the Department of Defense for the possibility of a License for the F-5 in its Iranian version of the HESA Azarakhsh, to produce.
We would be honored for an answer and discussions about a price, if named by the US, for such a license.
Sincerely,
Masoud Sharifi
First Deputy - Airforce, Ministry of Defense
Kingdom of Èran
