Minister Barak,

It is good to hear from you. I have passed on this request to the State Department and the White House. The request for so many F-15s and the Patriot system came as quite a surprise to our government. Is there any particular reason for such a large buildup in military vehicles?

I hope that the new government is settling in well. I look forward to seeing the close working relationship that the United States and Israel can work on together.

Dear Secretary of Defense, I'm sure you are well aware of the historical relationship between the United States and Israel. Since the Six Day War, our Air Force has almost entirely consisted of American designed and manufactured equipment. I'm sure you're also aware of the multiple threats that face Israel, the threatening of our existence that comes from our neighbours and those further abroad in the region. We saw that with Turkey and Saudi Arabia last year. Frankly it's a bit astonishing you even ask that question, I think the answer is quite obvious and it's not like we're talking decades ago, we're talking months ago our existence was threatened. They would gladly see the Jews pushed into the Mediterranean then have us live on this land. The Israel Defense Force has a mantra that Israel cannot afford to lose a single war. Unfortunately it is true, if we lost, there would be no peace agreement, no settlement, just a genocide on proportions that humanity has never seen. Therefore we strive to maintain a cutting edge military, based on capabilities and technology rather than size, because as a small nation we simply do not have the size. The F-15's will add another cutting edge to our air combat fleet and the Patriot missiles will be the back bone of the Air Defense Network, to take out enemy aircraft and missiles that may enter our airspace. Minister Barak,

I mentioned the build-up because of the large quantity of equipment that we have recently sold to your government in the last year. However, there may be a bit of a delay in the production of the MIM-104D Patriot Missile systems and AH-1F Cobras (not in the catalog).With that being said, this is the total cost of the items that you requested: $1,877,084,195. Once the money has been transferred to the United States, I will have the Department of Defense issue a Limited Production License to Israel.
