Subject: Joint-Venture
Dear Secretary Green,
I am writing you regarding the AgustaWestland AW101 helicopter, also known as the Merlin. The Italian Armed Forces is looking for the possibility of acquiring these aircraft but NEXUS informed us that they are currently in a final development phase and not yes in active service for the British Armed Forces.
Because of this we would like to inquire if it would be possible to form a Joint-Venture between NEXUS and AgustaWestland which would allow us both access to this highly advanced helicopter. The terms for such a joint-venture are of course something we would need to discuss. As NEXUS is the rightful owner to the design any joint-venture should benefit them the most. Our main priority is access to domestic production, but being able to add this product to AgustaWestland's catalogue would be a great addition to our Italian Arms export.
Please let me know if your administration would be open to such a joint-venture, and what topics your government finds of important in discussing such a deal.
