Good evening Minister de Charette,

Here in Japan we have been made aware of the current situation unfolding in France, and it has raised concern for us over the safety of our embassy staff in Paris. Would you be able to confirm if the Japanese embassy is safe from the unrest or if we need to consider enacting an evacuation plan for our staff.

Many thanks,
Yōhei Kōno

FROM: Hervé de Charette, Minister of Foreign Affairs

To whom it may concern,

The Japanese Embassy is indeed secure, although French police detailed to guarding your embassy have been moved elsewhere. If you require assistance in getting the safest route from Orly Airport to your embassy, or you have another request regarding your diplomatic security, we are happy to assist.

Sincerely,

Hervé de Charette
Minister of Foreign Affairs

Good evening Minister de Charette,

Thank you for your quick reply, we plan to keep our embassy open throughout this endevour. However, please note that we will be refusing entry to any French nationals during this time, unless it is those claiming political asylum - and as a result of this. We will be issuing the order for our security teams to be armed inside of the embassy.

Many thanks,
Yōhei Kōno
