I hope this email finds you well and in good health. With regards to your countries recent offer for to purchase a number of military equipment from the Korean Defense Industry Association. This email is in regards to the Dokdo-class Amphibious Assault Ship which remains a highly advanced and new military vessel being deployed by the ROK Navy. As close bonds are being built by the ROK & Australia, a sale of the Dokdo is contingent on a continued bilateral relationship.
To be able to purchase the Dokdo, the additional following terms are expected to be agreed upon. Alongside the terms the KDIA website, the Commonwealth of Australia must agree to:
- Not to share or provide technical data and specifications of the vessels it has purchased from the Republic of Korea to any non-signatory party or entity,
- In non-combat situations, where secrecy can not be guaranteed, and combat is not required, will not use the Dokdo Amphibious Assault Ship at optimal capacity allowing foreign entities knowledge on the full capabilities of the technology on these vessel
