The situation in Madagascar had now stabilised, troops were no longer needed on the streets and senior army commanders had brought the coup to full effect. Andre was now sure it was time to move onto phase 2 of his plan, cement his place as King of Madagascar. It was time for his coronation. The young king-designate was determined his people should see their King as a spectacular symbol of state and church.

Within days of his coming to power, his closet advisers had begun to arrange for the coronation in Antananarivo . A joint commission of city officials, police chiefs and military officials had begun the painstaking process of planning for the first coronation in Madagascar for centuries. The Original Royal palace of the country had been damaged by fire in 1995, so it was determined the king will move into Ambohitsorohitra Palace the day before his coronation to be paraded to Andohalo cathedral for the coronation to take place. In the local blacksmith of the capital a crown and royal sword will be crafted in time for the swearing in of the king. In addition, new crown jewels will be created for the King. They will include a sceptre, Shield and ring for his majesty. Security will jointly be provided by the military and the police for the event with barriers being placed along the parade route to the cathedral to keep street liners at bay.

With the Malagasy people wishing to celebrate the event with the world, invitations have been sent across the globe to all foreign governments to invite them to attend. An after party will be thrown at Ambohitsorohitra Palace to give foreign diplomats a chance to mingle with the newly inaugurated King. The coronation will take place this Saturday.

As his first act as King-designate, Andre has authorised the creation of a new royal guard to protect him and his family during the event. The new force will remain under the command the army.

With the Coronation delayed, King Andre has rescheduled the event for Tuesday. As such the Household Brigade have begun preparations for the event. With the crown Jewels completed, the 4 Household foot regiments will provide street liners to the event alongside the police forces. 1er cheval gardes will provide a mounted escort to Andre who will transit to the cathedral by car. A military orchestra have been formed to play hymns at the coronation while clergy members assist with the decoration and cleaning of the cathedral. Invites were resent to foreign delegations ahead of the event.

It was time for the coronation of King Andre. The procession left Ambohitsorohitra Palace with its full complement. 60 Soldiers on horseback from the 1er Cheval Gardes ride side by side with the Royal vehicle occupied by the King and Queen Consort towards Andohalo cathedral. Soldiers from the foot regiments line the route alongside armed police officers. The soldiers stand at attention facing the procession while the officers face the 10 deep crowd ready to respond to threats. The sound of horse shoes clattering against the streets fills the streets as the crowd cheers towards the King and Queen. Inside the car, the Queens blue dress radiates against the dark colours of the King's Field Marshal uniform. A gold sash on his right shoulder provides a standout contrast of the palate.

The procession arrived at the cathedral. The front of the cathedral was decorated with large Madagascan flags and Royal flags. A large red carpet was rolled out on the steps leading to the stopping point of the Kings guard. Madagascan soldiers in ceremonial dress lined the red carper presented a salute across the carpet. The kings guard pulled up to the steps of the Cathedral while the cavalry took position opposite ready to escort the monarch back to the palace. The King stepped out of his vehicle with the Queen waving to the crowd as they moved arm in arm up the red carpet. From inside the cathedral, the sound of a royal fanfare can be heard as the monarch walked inside. On his entrance, the church bishop and priests greet the monarch while hymes play in the background.

The bishop and his deans lead the royal couple down the alley of the cathedral. One of the deans carries a large cross to symbolise the christian routes of Madagascar while another 2 carry the newly created crown jewels. The royal couple follow behind arms linked as their eyes dart left and right to the crowds inside the cathedral. The audience consists of parliamentarians, elite figures and wealthy supporters. Each member of the audience greeted the royal couple with a bow or curtsy. As the procession reached the grand front of the cathedral the national anthem played. The King raised his hand in a defining salute while the Queen bowed her head. With the song completed, the couple take their place in 2 grand royal red chairs. The sound of the audience sitting in their pews echoed around the cathedral.

The rest of the coronation went without a significant hitch. A service to bless the reign of Andre took place while the Crown Jewels were presented to his Majesty. The Crown, sword, sceptre, Shield and ring are presented to his majesty by the deans. A large red train and their royal crowns are placed on the shoulders of the King and Queen. With the crown Jewels presented, the King rose to his feet as the audience silenced.

"My loyal subjects, it is with true gratitude that I accept your invitation to guide Madagascar into a new prosperous future free of democratic instability and coups. Until my last breath, I will ensure that the freedoms of our peoples are protected from internal or extraterritorial threats. With my guidance, I will ensure Madagascar is outward looking to the people in Africa and the wider world. As such, I swear to the people in front of this holy place that I will act as a protector of our constitution and free religions within this island."

Before leaving, the King singed a number of royal proclamations to give his mother the title Queen Mother and for his four children to adopt the titles of Prince and Princess. A number of new loyal appointments are signed into the senate and new elections called for the parliament.

With the coronation completed, the royal procession departed from the cathedral. As they entered their vehicles for the return back to the Palace, church bells across the country filled the air with their songs. The size of the crowds had now swelled on the parade route as the police continued to hold them back behind barricades. The sounds of horse shoes once again draws attention to the king and queen. With the procession back at the palace, a large party was held with selected dignitaries that would go on late into the night.
