Dear H.E. Minister Andreatta,

I hope this email finds you well and in good health. The Republic of Korea purchased a number of Roman products under previous administrations to fulfill our service needs. The ROK Army continues to evaluate these weapon systems and with plans for future procurement possible we hope that a Domestic Production Right(s) (DPR) agreement could be signed. Our Government is specifically looking at a DPR for the IVECO LMV and B-1 Centuraro. Additionally, the Republic of Korea as part of this agreement was seeking to be able to domestically produce the Janus sensor mast. We look forward to your response and hope to come to an amicable agreement on this DPR swap to allow the ROK to continue to modify, upgrade, and develop from these products future systems.

I read the agreement and discussed it during todays meeting of the Council of State and with the First General of Army Mr Pierfrancesco Valvasori, and we came to the conclusion that we would love to sign the proposed agreement. As Minister of Defence I will sign the agreement for the Roman part. The Roman Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Lamberto Dini will contact your Ambassador to Rome to discuss a possible alliance.
