Greetings,

I'd like to preface this message with an open welcome to your government if ever the chance arises in the coming weeks. As head of foreign affairs, I do apologize for the need to conduct business through emails.

Our nations have, in the past, maintained close links since the time where our forefathers still served the British Crown. It is a shame on our behalf for relations to have gone as lukewarm as they have, and we would desire a closer relationship with both the nation and people of Éire.

Our Kingdom would like to reestablish those links from the past, and develop them even further than before if possible. To that goal we would like to offer free trade between our countries, as well as the reestablishment of the study abroad programs that our countries shared. It was once an important link that we shared, and we would go the step further to relax visa restrictions between our countries for those who participate in the programs.

If these terms sound like a good start, we would much like to discuss a few other things as well.

Greetings, my sincerest apologies for the delay with regards to the previously received message concerning diplomatic relations.

For 800 years, Èire has had to endure much in the way of colonial subservience in the service of the crown much to the dismay of her children who wishing to be free rose up on numerous occasions in defense of their rights as free born Irishmen and women giving their lives so she might live. Today, we have resolved this conflict of interests in the spirit of friendship and reconciliation. This spirit of friendship, has always been crucial to Èire's survival and prosperous nature therefore, allow myself to forgive you. At the moment, my country is more than willing to rekindle these old friendships of ours and transcend these through free trade and a host of other mutually beneficial actions in hopes of a better tomorrow.

Thank you for the well wishes, I'm glad to hear that there's a future to build between our nations.

Considering our transition into power is a recent ordeal, I would like to have a better understanding on the current state of your nation. Supporting our friend and potential allies abroad is a top priority in my King's foreign policy, and knowing a bit more information would definitely assist us in our decision-making in that regard. Singapore, much like your own country, is a smaller nation bordering larger, much more dominant nations within our region. Competing with them in any manner will take extra effort if prosperity is to be guaranteed for the citizens of our country.

Currently, Èire is still recovering from the winter crisis and the collapse of the former Unionist administration of Prime Minister George McGuinness. An interim council has been established to run the country until the conclusion of the general election. On another note, there is fledgling anarchist free territory in the western part of the country which is currently conducting a fairly successful social experiment of sorts. My government's policy towards them is one of peaceful coexistence. There is also growing concerns about the behaviours of Germany and Italy behaviours which must civilised nations would abhor with a passion. The coming months will be a test as to whether or not the next administration will suceede or fail in a most miserable manner.

Hmm, I see. I do wish your country luck and hope for a good outcome to these social experiments you're testing out. While we are free capitalists ourselves, monarchy aside, we don't wish ill upon other governments for doing things differently. I would only caution the amount of power you allow any factions outside your government to hold.

That said, I can also understand your growing concern with the likes of powers such as Germany and Italy. Saber-rattling for the sake of maintaining prestige has never led Europe to anything good. I'm in the belief as well that the coming months will be a test of sorts, for my nation as well, but I don't believe nations such as ours should have to do these things alone.

Would your government be interested in the signing of a potential mutual-defense treaty? For the record, our little kingdom has no aim to rattle any sabers with certain continental Europeans, but instead see a golden opportunity in doing business with nations that sit on the fringes of the west. With all the grandiose announcements and shows of power that occurred in the past few weeks, my King would like nothing more than to assist your nation in maintaining its sovereignty, however we can.

We are also willing to assist your armed forces in modernizing your military as well. As a show of good faith from our nation to yours, we would even be willing to allow this modernization to occur at near factory-price, in order to ensure your country has an equal opportunity to defend itself as others. Lion Defense Industries, of which our King is the CEO of, offers modern military solutions at affordable prices. And I believe the saying King Wei likes to use is, "Our Kingdom takes care of its friends."

Thank you very much for your kind words, I will see to it that the next government heeds this cautionary warning. We do not wish to see Èire torn apart or morph into an authoritarian nightmare.

Our forefathers have seen what this saber rattling can do to upset the balance of power for which many Irishmen were to die on the field of battle for King and Country. Henceforth why we remain neutral in the face of turmoil.

My government would be delighted to sign a mutual defense pact with your country and perhaps dismantle a few trade barriers along the way in order to bring out the best our respective markets have to offer one another.

I'm glad to come to an agreement on these issues, and believe me when I say that our country will do what's necessary to ensure the independence of the Irish from threats outside. I will have a copy of the defense treaty sent over by fax along with a free trade agreement.

We would be open to discuss plans for providing your armed forces with our equipment whenever your government is ready. Assuming there wasn't an immediate need, I could always have an official over at Lion Defense reach out at a later time as well. That said, there was one final topic that I wished to discuss as well. Going along the lines with our mutual defense treaty, we are also interested in obtaining access to the port and facilities at Haulbowline Naval Base. We see it as a grand opportunity to expose our armed forces to those of your own.

Strategically it would also allow us to respond to threats to your nation quicker, allowing us to honor the defense pact on our side with actions, if necessary. Second, it would make participating in joint-naval exercises easier on our logistics. Assuming our navy maintained a small presence, that is. In return we would be more than willing to allow your naval vessels access to our ports and facilities as well. Plus as a sign of our sincerity and friendship, we would like to offer your government an up-front payment of $500,000,000.00 for the rights we just requested.

I hope the funds will assist in stimulating the Irish economy, and believe it shows our commitment.
