Thank you for your message, the People's Republic likewise feels that despite our differences there is much more that can bind us. The President will gladly meet with your King. Due to her current health state it is believed the safest for such a meeting to take place in Beijing. As such I hereby extend a formal invitation for Your Majesty and any other members you may want to join your delegation.

A message would be received by the Chinese stating Vincent's intention to visit Beijing the following day. Come the next morning, Vincent would arrive at Beijing International from a direct flight from Singapore's main airline. In spite of riding first-class, he naturally would bring much attention to himself for such a public stunt, and his arrival in Beijing appeared to have been anticipated by the press that ambushed him off the plane.

With him were a total of six personal bodyguards, who would escort him out of Beijing International promptly after their arrival. Their escorts would be requested to bring them to the Forbidden City directly instead of the usual diplomatic sight-seeing the King would partake in. There was much to be discussed, and Vincent was focused on the talks between his nation and the Chinese more than anything else.

As requested the PLA escort that had been arranged would immediately take King Vincent to the Forbidden City. Once through the gates the King was further escorted to the Palace of Heavenly Purity in the inner court. The Ministry of State Security had again made sure the entire Forbidden City was secure so no one would be able to listen in on the discussions to be held in the palace. Once the King was escorted inside, the Empress approached him. "Your Majesty, it is a pleasure to meet you in person"

Vincent offered a bow towards the Empress, a soft smile planted on his face as he rose up. "It is my honor, Empress, and I thank you for accepting my request. I wished to visit personally and congratulate you on the splendid coronation. As you know, Singapore is nearly three-quarters Han Chinese, myself included. We may not bow to the Celestial Empire, but we are both monarchies in Asia, of predominately the same blood. That is enough for me to reach out in friendship from the start."

"Bowing to the Celestial Empire is not what I seek. Simply the treatment as equals committed to the prosperity of Asia" Zhi replied with a smile. "Please sit" She added before sitting down as well. "And for the prosperity of Asia there is much that needs to be done"

"Then from the start we have reached an agreement." Vincent would remark with a smile as he sat across from the Empress. "Agreed. There are many factions in Asia with their own aims and goals, but none of them have the prosperity of the region in mind, simply mutual defense from outside threats. As for those threats... I believe we share at least one of them. A mutual neighbor of the communist ideology."

Zhi nodded. "Yes, while I would like to be able to say Vietnam could be a friend. Their history and ambition have shown they cannot be trusted. If we wish to not only give Asia parity with the rest of the world but indeed let it ascend to its divine leadership role it is important that the forward looking states of Asia join forces. A great first step would be defence against the elderly of Asia"

"I am in agreement to joining forces and establishing military treaties between our two nations. Aside from Vietnam, the nation of Japan has surprisingly become an increasing national security risk for Singapore. As much as their media holds them as free-thinking and forwards, the attitude of their government suggests a return to Japanese Imperialism."

Zhi looked legitimately surprised at the mention of the Japanese. "How odd, in our own meeting with them they appeared quite amenable. Should they seek a return to the imperialism of old though, the Celestial Empire is naturally opposed"

"We can not confirm, as our government has had little contact with them due to their belief that we are a puppet of the Australians. That aside, we believe the situation to be manageable by our armed forces if necessary. I wouldn't linger on it for too long, Empress, considering the more important topics that we are left to discuss."
