The Białystok Demonstrations

The Lithuanian Brotherhood is a Lithuanian Nationalist Rebel Organization mostly located in the city of Białystok, That has a large lithuanian minority. Recently the LB has begun a demonstration in the Polish city of Białystok in support of a Lithuanian annexation. The protest although small is a worrying Prospect for both countries. only about 300 people have joined in the protest, Yet the Small but vocal lithuanian minority have for years chafed under the polish majority of the city.
Many Lithuanians have expressed their support for the protest and the Lithuanian Government has done little to calm the flame by remaining quiet on the incident. The Polish government obviously cannot simply give into the Protesters for obvious reasons. The Lithuanian Government, If they were to give Into the Protesters demands and attempted to move their army into the city this would spark a war between the 2 nations, Yet if Lithuania Ignores or Denounces the Protest it could be seen as a betrayal and Abandonment to the Lithuanian People in Poland.

The German Reich disavows and condemns all violent attempts at the pursuing political aims among the minority communities residing in Poland that may have the potential to undermine the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of our eastern neighbor.

Nevertheless, The German Reich is of opinion that it may be in the best interests of Poland to monitor the situation on the ground and where possible grant concessions to the Lithuanian community along the lines of greater political and cultural autonomy, should this prove to be insufficient a plebiscite ought to provide the necessary justification for further action as far as consensuses are concerned.

If of course, hostilities were to break out the ramifications would spell disaster for all who have the grave misfortune of supporting either side at the expense of the peace in Europe. Naturally, The German Reich would suggest yet still that efforts be made to resolve such matters of importance in a peaceful manner and that a continental peacekeeping operation be mounted to prevent future conflicts of interest from boiling over.
