"HAPPY NEW YEAR" erupted from the masses as the firework display begun at the London Eye. The display, lasting around 18 minutes, consisted of a number of themes dictated by the year now behind them. The first few minutes aimed tribute to the United Kingdom and the Royal Family. Yellow-colored fireworks shooting to the sky to create a form of 'crown' with God Save the Queen opening the ceremony before the usual red, white and blue. It then led onto the national anthems of Portugal and Spain in special mention to the Iberian Summit before concluding the first 8 minutes with a tribute to TASA members, Sweden and America. The remaining 10 minutes focused on communities more local to the United Kingdom, thank you messages to the NHS and other emergency services followed by a vast variety of other representations.
The ceremony ended with the crowds singing Auld Lang Syne...
