We receive your communication with great joy, and on behalf of the argentine people, I wish to congratulate you on your electoral success. It is no easy task to stand up for a whole nation and it put it where it belongs, but I am sure the Mexico will thrive under your Government.

Due to prior commitments, I'm not available on the short them, however, my Foreign Minister would be leading a high level delegation to visit Mexico City in my direct representation.

Sincerely yours,

Ignacio Herrero
President of the
Argentine Republic

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, Daniel Osvaldo, would board the Aerolineas Argentinas flight directly to Mexico City together with the Director of North American Affairs, the Secretary of International Trade and a personal aide. Once in Mexico, the argentine ambassador to that country would join the Delegation. The flight would depart as scheduled.

At Mexico City International Airport, a five car convoy would arrive at the runway where the MoFA of Argentina was expected. Car 1, 4 & 5 were filled with officers from the Policía Federal. The officers were armed in their standard kit as shown above in the picture. They were armed either with AR-15's or H&K MP7's with the standard issued sidearm. Car 3 & 4 were for the vehicles for the Argentinians to take them to the Office of the Prime Minister. They were driven as well by officers of Policía Federal with their armament just of the standard issued sidearms. At the Airport however, one terminal would be closed and it'd be flooded with Policía Federal officers for the arrival.

The small argentine Delegation would descend from the aircraft and greet the the argentine ambassador, who would be waiting for them together with 2 of the private security guards of the Argentine Embassy, armed with 1 Glock 17, a bulletproof vest, and intercom devices each. After the greetings, they would all board the indicated SUVs, wondered by the big police display.

Once the Argentinians were in, they'd be off in escort towards Los Pinos, the official residence of the Mexican President. The convoy were escorted by four Police Motorbikes which were to stop traffic and allow the convoy on through towards Los Pinos as fast and safe as they could. It would be a short drive as they arrived as both President Vargas and Prime Minister Umaña were stood outside. Both women were smartly dressed, with the younger Vargas wearing traditional office clothing whilst the older Umaña wore a shirt, skirt and high heels. Both women waited outside for the Foreign Minister.

"Would you like anything to eat or drink?" The Prime Minister asked. Both women sat down next to each other, one drank a cup of tea and the other a glass of cold water. It was the morning after all. "I hope your flight wasn't too rough over here."

Taking a sip of her cup of tea, President Vargas crossed her legs. She'd place the cup down and began to speak. "To begin with, how do you feel about a trade agreement?"

"Trade is one of our main concerns, and the big mexican market is strategic for our products. At the same time, we would be giving priority to certain mexican products in our own market. What would Mexico be offering in terms of exports? We could use the IMTO to canalize the commercial exchange."
