2. Strategic Visions & Policies

Under the leadership of Minister Sumati Dalavi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has created an initiative called "The New Indian Trade and Diplomacy Initiative". This new initiative is designed to introduce the new government to other nations and invite them openly to engage in both diplomatic and trade talks.
Key features of this initiative include but are not limited to:
  • International Outreach - Opening talks with other nations, with the intention of creating alliances both diplomatically and economically.
  • Local Goods, International - Promoting local produced products through global trade and being made available to export.
  • Embassy Establishment - To establish numerous embassy buildings globally to create a network of communication for diplomacy and travel needs.
  • Ease of Movement - To allow Indian nationals to travel more freely with less restrictions. To create opportunities for other nations to travel more freely in to India.

3. Travel & VISA Requirements

Currently all non-Indian nationals looking to cross all borders in to the country will be required to apply for an IVA (India Visitation Agreement) visa. This visa is for tourism only and must be applied for no later than 28 days before travel and will be valid for up to 90 days upon arrival in to India.

The IVA will screen applicants on the following credentials:
  • Plausibility and verification of the purpose of travel to India.
  • Financial verification to ensure the individual is able to support themselves during their stay.
  • Criminal Background Check - Any convictions may result in a declined VISA, however an individual can appeal and provide relevant reasoning and evidence to show they are a non-threat to the nation.
  • To show willingness they are not intending to stay in the country longer than the terms of the VISA or face criminal charges and deportation.
  • To provide relevant documentation as evidence of travel insurance to a minimum coverage of $33775.00.
Other visas are available for individuals who are looking to come to India for work or citizenship and will both be assessed in further detail to ensure candidates are suitable for the nation's current needs and sustainability.

Lighter restrictions and free travel agreements are options available to other nations should they wish to engage diplomatic proceedings relating to this.
