[MN]: Commercial Exports Registrar

Jan 7, 2018

NATIONAL EXPORTS Registrar

The National Exports Register is a Public Database, listing the Resources that each Nation trades. Players decide on the Resources themselves using the Website Available Here and Here. Afterwards, you must determine a Monthly Tariff which is then chargeable to others who import your goods. Governments who share the same Resource, for example "Vehicles" does not mean they're identical. This, in fact, depends on the Vehicle industry your Nation operates. Britain has Jaguar and Aston Martin, but Japan has Mitsubishi Motors. By default, Nations have their basic Resources but importing goods will improve the quality of their industries and their National Statistics. Players will not only be responsible for maintaining their Registration and making amendments where necessary, but managing what other Players owe them. This is where we recommend using your Customs Authority, which is Grandfathered in. The Tariff is determined Monthly, as this is the most regular interval. However, Players can calculate the charges for Daily or Weekly intervals using a simple division. Payments can be made using the Transfer Tool, which is the current system to exchange money between Governments.

Free Trade Agreements remove the tariffs between Players, so this should not be discussed immediately and especially not when you have no established relations. Players can discuss trade routes under the Diplomacy Forums, which is also where they can explore their options to remove the restrictions on imported goods. Once a path has been decided, one of the Players need to submit a New Trade Route to the Administrators, who will then add this to the Trade map on the Economy System. In the circumstances of a Player leaving, the Routes you made with those Countries will continue to exist but you do not receive the fees. Anyone with established routes in place before this change can contact their Trade Partners to communicate the new charges.

How much should you charge? The Interval is how often a Resource is delivered to someone, and this is when the Payments due. People are unlikely to stop at one Nation, and may have up to 15 or more Resources being imported at any one time. For this reason, the Average Tariff is between $4,000,000 and $5,000,000 for each Resource, with no Maximum. However, People can charge as little as $1,000,000 or considerably less. You may decide you want to charge less to an Allied State, before you consider a Free Trade Agreement. That is always an option, but you're responsible for collecting what you owe.
