WORLD ENTERS GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS

The unexpected government deficit of the Russian Federation has created a massive shockwave affecting not only European, but global economies.

With Russia being the epicentre of the crisis, we are already seeing some of the worst effects within the nation. The exceptionally large government deficit has taken away its ability to invest into the national economy, leading to a lower demand in products which has forced certain businesses to shut and lay off its employees. By rendering these employees redundant the situation is only further worsened as consumer demand continues to decrease.

As we continue to watch the Russian economy slow down, the effects of the downturn in consumer demand shall spread beyond its borders and begin to negatively affect the economies of it’s closest trading partners. The economic crisis has led to a crash of the Russian Ruble, with the currency losing value against the US Dollar. This loss of value shall begin to affect Russia’s imports, as products begin to become noticeably more expensive. Consumers will inevitably avoid purchasing foreign goods leading to a decrease in trade.

Russia now finds itself in a complex cycle that only reinforces itself through a feedback loop, only swift and decisive action by the government shall allow it to escape this vicious cycle.

Beyond Russia we have witnessed the stock market tumble, with some of the largest European corporations losing billions in their valuations. Most of these companies primarily serve the defence sector and therefore dependent on government contracts, they are vulnerable to a decrease in the defence budgets of national governments as they seek to cut costs.

These same cost cutting measures will however not only affect these multinationals, but also impact the national economies as lower government spending will lead to a decrease in demand. Government’s without the financial liquidity to negate the impact of the global decrease in demand are at risk of falling into the same vicious circle as the Russian Federation.

Over the next few months we expect the situation to worsen as the effects of the shockwave spread across the world. It is expected that there will be a dramatic increase in unemployment as the market begins to correct itself and reform to a situation where consumer demand has dramatically decreased.

In response to the crisis the Russian Federation would immediately -classified- halt military procurement spending -classified-, halt all space program projects, and declare a state of emergency. In response to help alleviate the economic issue the Russian Government would order an immediate printing of The Russian Ruble for the next two weeks non stop to help stimulate the economy in an emergency fashion. This measure was to put a brake on the plummeting Russian economy and stock market. While many would complain this would hurt the value of the Ruble, action needed to be taken now to stop the death spiral of the Russian economy.

President Boris Yeltsin would order an immediate halt to the plan to print Rubles to combat the current economic crisis. This being after having a meeting interrupted by an aide who informed him on the situation. They do not need hyperinflation and it would make their money worthless even if it did stop the economic situation. They needed flexibility, and to print money now would destroy their future options. They needed to wait and see how the GA proposal went.

President Gore had ordered the Securities Exchange Commission to suspend trading on the New York Stock Exchange on a Friday at the end of October. The following week, the market continued to go down and eventually stagnated as investors found the situation to be very uneasy. The mass-printing of the ruble and halt to Russian productions once against startled investors who feared that a Russian default was immanent. The Federal government recently spent billions on training new volunteers for the Armed Forces. As of now, the U.S. Treasury remains just barely above the green but, like many other countries at the moment, funds are low. "High level talks" between American and Russian officials were reportedly being held to discuss solutions to the debt. The White House is also reportedly considering issuing more Treasury Backed Securities in order to raise revenues.

As the situation continued to worsen in Russia, sparks of anger and discontent towards the Russian government began to grow. The Russian people, as they witnessed the rise of unemployment and crime, were beginning to feel neglected and alone in this crisis. Within major cities the unemployed began seeking each other out, rallying together against a common enemy. With the lack of effective action from the government, which seemed to just be waiting for the international community to come to its rescue, word began spreading which called for all those affected by the crisis to attend a mass demonstration in Moscow.

-------

As dawn broke on the 03rd of December, people from all over the country began flooding into Moscow by land and by air. Tens of thousands would be streaming in throughout the day and traffic would be brought to a standstill as the parks, squares and streets surrounding the Kremlin began to fill. Chant’s filled the air as the masses demanded the government take immediate action to ease their difficulties and ensure economic recovery.

Throughout the day, various key speakers rallied the crowd, expressing their wish to see radical changes aimed at improving the lives of the common folk. However, while some rallied towards economic prosperity, others sought to ferment the anger of the crowd towards the failures of the state. Extremist elements within the masses pushed people into acts of crime as they tried to destroy the property of the state and acquire the riches they saw as rightfully theirs. These small acts of violence quickly spread from street to street where impromptu gangs formed and started targeting luxury stores.

Any intervention by the police or other security forces would quickly lead to the crowd turning their anger away from the stores and onto the authorities. Anything and everything would be thrown towards the police, including bricks, glass and Molotov Cocktails.

As day turned to night, the crowd broke away as moderate groups began heading home. However, extremist elements sought to continue their battle against the police and against the city itself. Fires continue to rage through the streets as bins, cars and shops became victims of arsonists.

Moscow, Russia

With Moscow being flooded wit protestors and rioters the police were having a hard time of containing the situation. It was looking more and more like the army would need to be called in. Not only that but news media was on the ground capturing and broadcasting every moment of this mess. Capturing footage of the speakers and broadcasting them on the news networks. All while the government had yet to make a statement. Though their hands as it turned out were not idle.

EHfsE72W4AEoss_.jpg

Stationed in Moscow the off duty Spetsgruppa Alpha (DA), Spetsgruppa Vympel (CT), and Spetsgruppa Smerch (MH) were activated to help prevent the mass of protestors from breaching the Kremlin. From their stations they geared up in a mishmash of equipment and uniforms. A mixture of MASKA and Sfera helmets with mix matched uniform camouflaged patterns. This included KLMK, VSR-93, and VSR-98. For vests they wore a mix of 6B5-15 Vests and Fort Defender I vests. Each had a two way radio, a 24 hour ration, assault pack, and two canteens of water. There were 3,000 of these Spetsnaz in total which were made of 108 Platoons of 28 each. In each group 13 were armed with AK-74M assault rifles with a backup PKM pistol with 8 spare 30 round AK-74 Bakalite magazines and 2 spare PKM magazines all with FMJ ammunition. Each Platoon had 4 RPK gunners with six spare 40 round magazines with FMJ. Each Platoon had 3 AK-74U users with 8 spare 30 round magazines with ammo. Each group had 5 AK-74M rifles with grenade launchers with 6 spare 30 round magazines and 4 tear gas grenades each. Everyone had throwable tear gas grenades of which there were four and a single flash bang grenade each. Everyone also grabbed a riot shield.

Moving in on foot the Spetsnaz moved to block all entries to the Kremlin and act in a defensive manner for the moment. The Police meanwhile would star to form a loose perimeter around the rioters and protestors to begin encircling the area. But for the moment they were letting everyone enter and leave as they liked. At the same time the 1st Motor Rifle Division was called on upon from Kubinka air base where they were told to prepare to begin preparations to depart for Moscow immediately. Upon hearing this they would begin to fuel up their vehicles, and their soldiers would be briefed on the situation prior to having them all start to gear up which would take some amount of time.

320px-Flag_of_the_Soviet_Union.svg.png

Spotting an opportunity the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) (1995), All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks (1991), Communist Party of the Soviet Union (1992), Labour Russia, Russian Communist Workers Party, Union of Communist Parties – Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Stalin Bloc – For the USSR, and National Bolshevik Party would descend upon the mass riot and protest including members of the Soviet Hardliners from the 1993 and 1995 coup attempts. Their members would go trough the crowds egging people on and waving their red flags. They were trying to encourage the rioters to go that extra step, while the most hardline of the groups joined in. Smashing windows and throwing bricks. Some even carrying around molotov cocktails. But there was someone else here, making their way to the podium under the protection of the Nazbols and members of the Stalin Bloc – For the USSR.

unnamed.jpg

Yevgeny Dzhugashvili, Grandson of Stalin

He would make his way up to the podium.
"Comrades, today amidst this economic crisis I look upon brave revolutionaries and patriots. All of you. This crisis we are in the middle of has been a long time in the making. Starting in the year 1991, six years ago when Chairman Stanislav Shushkevich, Prime Minister Vyacheslav Kebich, Russia President Boris Yeltsin, First Deputy Gennady Burbulis, President Leonid Kravchuk, and Prime Minister Vitold Fokin went behind the back of the Soviet people and took advantage of the crisis of 1991 to dissolve the USSR. With promises such as freedom and prosperity all around. They made these promises to the current generation and the next. What happened instead? A decline unlike anything seen before. The mass privatization of government owned businesses and organizations. All of which were bought and sold by insiders, oligarchs and kleptocrats. So that they could take advantage of what you! What all of you and the previous generations built. They took the means of production away from us. Packaged and sold it greedily. The standard of living plummeted, people were living worse then they ever did in the Soviet Union. Opportunity was stripped away for the sake of profit and so called progress. They kept making claims that they were trying to deal with this corruption, but what moves did they make? I'll tell you what, they made none! They made empty promises to you! The people! Not only that but when they made economic mistakes based off of a false notion that the economy of improving? They sold what we built! To try and save their own profits they sold the previously state owned factories, businesses, and corporations for a short term profit in an attempt to stop the bleeding that they caused! They shares of aircraft companies, ship companies, and tractor plants! Selling it to greedy capitalistic foreigners who want to take advantage of the work of generations of our people. Not only that, but they try to make friends with nations like Argentina. A nation which has no benefit to us! Which only seeks to use and abuse our hospitality! They have made a fool of us on the international stage! This nations which we built and was once so powerful because we built it has been sold out like a bicycle. Used and abused. Now, in a final desperate act this non legitimate government is selling off our navy and airforce! Built by our hands! I would not put it past them to skim off the top and pocket the money! They are liars and thieves, and are making fools of us all on the international stage! Just look at the GA! The GA is going to impose ruling upon us because of the failures of this government!

This government is incompetent and hopeless. It is illegitimate. The collapse of the USSR was illegal! I call upon the strength of the people right now! Do the right thing! Take back what belongs to us! Take back your future! My grandfather put everything into the Soviet Union! The people did the same! through our collective efforts we defeated the scum of the earth. The fascists Nazis! We opposed the imperialists! Our legacy lives on in nations all around the world! Let us take it back! I ask not just you! But all of those nations of the Soviet Union rise up! Join together once more! We can make it work. We can reconcile, and we can build back up better then before. Don't let these people who have used and abused us win. Peaceful or not, let us have a third revolution! All you have to do is reach up! Take my hand!"

He said passionately now reaching out towards the crowd. At this point a band from the various communist groups had assembled and began to play the 1984 version of the Soviet Anthem. Using the loudspeakers to broadcast this. Yevgeny Dzhugashvili began to sing the anthem.

Department of State

It is regretful that, with the recent events unfolding in Russia, the Republic of Spain as moved to establish a Do not Travel measure for the country, with no end date. Spain would request that all Spanish Nationals in Russia to depart immediately, using their available means and seek guidance from Spanish Embassies and Consulates. Adding to these measures stricter visas will be imposed on Russian Nationals entering Spain, and those already in the state, will have their visas extended for a period of 60 days, which can be renewable during this crisis. The Republic of Spain hopes to work closely with Russia with the GA Resolution proposed by South Korea.

“Again?” President Yushchenko shook his head and sighed. How many times were they going to do this?

The clicks, rings, and indistinct chatter that composed the typical ambiance of the Presidential Administrative Building had dulled. Yushchenko could imagine some of the aids pressing their ears to the door, already scribbling drafts of emails or making checklists for every possible response Ukraine could have to the chaos unfolding in Russia. Soon Yushchenko’s office was flooded with senior advisors, assistants weaving between them to deliver reports. Someone’s errand boy had spilt a tray of coffee to-go cups across the carpet. He was trying to blott it up with brown paper towel but only seemed to be making things worse.

Communist activity in Moscow had whipped up Soviet sentimentalists in Donetsk and Luhansk as well. Comprised of mostly students, the protests in Eastern Ukraine were quite small. Donetsk National University was the largest with approximately 100 participants setting up an encampment outside the administrative building where the Provost had his office. There was no violence. Not yet at least.

Assemblies in Western Ukraine bolstered greater numbers. Rather than red flags they waved gold and blue. In Kyiv they waited outside the embassies of democratic countries--the US and Polish embassies among them. Organizers made it a point to be as polite as they could be to any coming and going staff. At night they sang Christmas carols and any patriotic songs they could think of from each embassy's homeland. "We hope that if communist terrorists were to cause trouble in Ukraine again, our republican friends would offer military aid," one woman told newscasters as she sipped hot chocolate outside the Spanish embassy.

Soon, Press Secretary Anastasia Boyko would emerge to inform reporters that President Yushchenko planned to address the protests and the economic crisis the following evening in a speech at the Maidan Nezalezhnosti--Independence Square.

At the Italian Embassy in Moscow everyone was ordered inside once they got word of the crowd marching in Moscow. Once everyone was confirmed inside the building all doors and windows were closed and the probable entrances were guarded by multiple guards. All guards were on high readiness, armed with Beretta 92Fs.

Battles continued to rage between the extremist elements and the security apparatus. As dawn broke, people all over the world witnessed the continuation of the demonstration in Moscow. With chaos on the streets, the public infrastructure slowly began to shutdown. Banks, public transport and airports would cease operations as staff would be unable to make their way to work.

Witnessing that they had momentum on their side, and that the communists had joined the demonstration, thousands more would return for a second day of carnage. Feeling that there was a change in the dynamics of the crowd, various protest leaders sought to begin coordinating their actions with the goal to further pressure the government to take immediate action.

As the squares and streets around the Kremlin began filling up with hundreds of thousands of people for a second day of protest, word began spreading that a high-level meeting was taking place at the Hotel National located just besides the Kremlin. While moderates simply sought to convey their message of action to an international audience of diplomatic officials, extremists had other ideas.

The plan to seek international attention was to storm the hotel in order to gain an audience with the various diplomatic officials and the present Russian dignitaries. Leaders gathered in front of the hotel to rally the crowd and manage the situation. While they stormed the building by throwing bricks through the large windows to gain access to the lobby, at the back of the building extremists were planning their own operation with a very different aim.

The extremists had armed themselves with AKS-74U personal defence weapons with one magazine locked in and three extra located on their ballistic vests. This assault team stealthily entered the rear of the building, their weapons and equipment hidden under large winter coats which would help them blend. Half the team of twenty would move in pairs and take position at various entry and exit points. The remaining ten men followed the loud mob as they made their way up the building to a conference room which the concierge, his life being threatened, had given up as the location of the high-level meeting. When they reached the door of the conference room it was clear that the building had been compromised and there was little option but to barricade themselves within the room.

Moscow, Russia
The Russian government knew that the situation was desperate, and finally with time to prepare a state would do so. Minister of Economic Development Yevgeny Yasin would appear of national and international television to give a statement.

"I have come on today to address the crisis unfolding here and Moscow just outside the Kremlin. I know that people are worried, scared, and desperate. That there are fear and hate mongers outside preaching violence and even revolution. There is not need for that. We have a plan to deal with the current economic problems facing the Russian Federation. I will now go over them in order show you that this is all very concrete.
Firstly, we are selling off portions of our navy and airforce in order to climb our way out of debt. The equipment we are selling can easily be replaced in the future.
Secondly we are hoping to come to an agreement with the GA in order to obtain a loan. This will also help up climb our way out of the red.
Thirdly we are cutting defense procurement for the time being as well as space program development.
With all of these combined we will be able to start repairing this nation once we are out of the red. Rest assured, we will get out. Once we have money freed up we will begin a massive infrastructure program to get people back to work. We will start many projects that benefit you the people. We even have a deal in place with the Republic of Ukraine. The deal in place being that we will hire Russian firms and people to build projects in their nation as reconciliation between our two peoples. The building of schools and museums will require many workers and provide many jobs.
Not only that but we will be building up industry as well, not just infrastructure. We will provide grants for entrepreneurs to star their own businesses and forge their own futures. We will also provide grants to companies in Russia to expand their businesses and labor forces.
In the meantime as this is all put into place I know people are going hungry and are losing their homes. That is why we will have the military set up temporary shelter. Temporary tent cities which the military will provide food and water to. But more then that, as of this moment there will be a six month ban on evictions. Landlords may submit their eviction paperwork but may not evict for six months. We are also considering 1,000 dollar checks to those who have gone unemployed within the last month.
With all that said, I would like to ask everyone to return to your homes. There will be a curfew in place tonight."

With that the broadcast would end.

Hotel Moscow, Moscow, Russia

FSB Director Vladmir Putin glanced over his shoulder upon hearing glass shatter. "Ambassador, I think it best you go shelter in place." he would say directly looking at the American Ambassador Andrew Olegovich."We seem to be having some... issues." he would say before walking the opposite direction of the conference room, heading towards the front of the building. Meanwhile, the security who had been present was escorting all the diplomats they could find into the Conference room. They were all well armed still and once they had everyone they began to barricade the doors with chairs and tables with weapons drawn and pointed at the door. These were SPetsnaz, and their orders were to fire and protect the representatives of these nations, at all costs. They switched to full auto and waited to see the whites of their eyes.

The Communists who were supporters of the extremists and egging them on were also now at the Hotel Moscow. Though they had a very specific goal in mind. They had raided weapons and had some retired Soviet Soldiers and officers with them. They carried AK-74 Rifles and PM Pistols. Making their way to the front of the Hotel while waving their red flags they made sure to intercept the Yugoslavian Delegation SM99 who had just been trying to leave.

"Comrades! Welcome to Moscow! We had heard you were here. Please come with us. You are in good company! Gentlemen, form a defensive circle around our Yugoslav comrades!" The Communists would do so, though they were leading them over to a truck they had come in on with a megaphone. "Before we take you to the airport can you please say a few kind words to these fellow revolutionaries as they try to have a word with the international community?" SM99

Vladmir Putin meanwhile had made his way through the hotel only to be spotted and then swarmed by the moderates who were now in the building. "Yes I hear you. Please, tell me your problems. I will do my best to help." he said a plan going through his head.

318px-Spasskaya_Tower_and_the_St._Basil%27s_Cathedral.jpg

Moscow, Russia

At this point the Communists using their connections would start to arm themselves a little at a time and even began to arm the extremists seeing them as comrades. They brought in a truck with Mosin Nagant rifle crates straight from the salt mines still covered in cosmoline. They also brought in pallets with bricks on them for use by the rioters as they began to coordinate their methods.

At this point the 1st Motor Rifle Division would arrive in Moscow via a very long convoy. Upon arrival they would dismount and begin to reinforce the police and their loose encirclement of the area that the rioters were in. At this point they were arming themselves with tear gas and forming a line. Reinforced by heavy engineering vehicles it was obvious to everyone here that they were getting ready to push in from all sides. The Spetsnaz in the Kremlin were also getting ready to push out in coordination with the army.

At this point brick throwing was met with immediate retaliation in the form of tear gas, rubber bullets, and being beaten near death upon being signaled out by army and police. Those that were caught were thrown into vans. The window for people to head home was closing.

"Citizens. Head home now. You have one hour to comply. I repeat, leave now." a voice boomed over a loudspeaker.

The 1st Reconnaissance Battalion was deployed to go to the Hotel Moscow and began to approach. They were ready and willing to do what ever necessary to disperse the crowd. All soldiers and police at this point wore gasmasks.

Staring up from his laptop following the conclusion of an email, preparing to finish work for the day before the news headline emerged on his muted TV. Taylor Heart, the Secretary of State; unmuting the television and listening patiently. He had already been in multiple briefings throughout the day but the escalation in Russia was raising concern for the Secretary for International Development whom was confined to an international conference. Leaning forward and retrieving the phone that sat on the edge of his desk, he was quick to open a conference call with the remaining cabinet members who were still in country. After roughly thirty minutes of intense discussion, the call ended. Shortly followed by an announcement from the MoFA.

"Over the last few days the situation in Russian has shown continued deterioration which is under regular assessment by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In light of the current circumstances surrounding the country, the government are updating the travel advisory for all Britons to 'Reconsider your need to travel'; advising that travel to Russia should only go ahead if deemed essential and repatriation flights will take place where possible."

The adjustment to the travel advisory has led to a new focus, Leon Hurst, the Senior Cabinet Minister now stranded in Russia with no further communications received. In secret, preparations were taking place for the aspect of a rescue mission if deemed appropriate. In readiness, two individual emails were sent out.

Subject:Forward Staging Area

To the Secreary of Defence, Peter Hultqvist,

I am contacting you with an urgent request, the situation in Russia has marked serious concern for a Senior member of the British Government, Leon Hurst; the Secretary of International Development. He remains in country as part of an International Conference with senior officials from many governments and whilst we hope to avoid a rescue, we are putting plans in motion as a precaution to simplify our response.

Under these plans, we are forming a Task Force compiled of Special Forces, and a support group with an estimiation of a few hundred personnel and a wide variety of equipment. They would need to have a forward staging area to move into Russia at short notice to conduct a rescue mission of our senior cabinet member, and potentially other officials from the international community.

Therefore, I would like to know whether there is any prospect of utilizing an airbase near Stockholm to deploy assets too with the possibility of the mission been given a green light. It would contain a number of different aircraft and ground vehicles, and near Stockholm provides an opportunity to enter the country through St Petersburg. Equally, we would like to look at re-positioning a naval frigate in the Baltic Sea to offer support to the Special Forces if required.

I would like to know whether this is something your government would be willing to accomodate.

Kind Regards,

Subject:Situation Report at Hotel National

To the Russian Authorities,

The situation in Russia is escalating each day and as you may know, there remains Senior Officials from the United Kingdom and perhaps other countries as per an international conference in the region. The last report that we have is that our Secretary of International Development was held up at Hotel National in Moscow. Please could you provide an update on the current situation in the area and whether there is any timescale for when we can expect him to make a safe escape from Russia?

We would also like that in the event of trouble securing our delegation, or the inability to provide an update on their health and location; request permission to deploy special forces assets to the area to conduct a rescue mission. This would be a minimally invasive procedure to get a small number of forces to evacuate our cabinet minister.

I await your urgent response.

Kind Regards,
Taylor Heart
First Secretary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Dear First Secretary Heart,

I am distressed to hear the position of your government in relation to Russia and the potential risk to Secretary Leon Hurst; we were unaware of a multi-national conference occurring in Russia but we have learned through social media and the press that some form of government-related meeting was occurring in a hotel which the rioters have since began to apply pressure to. This is in no doubt escalating from a collapsing economy to a political situation exploding into national security crisis. Naturally, it goes without saying, that Sweden stands by the United Kingdom in seeking a peaceful and rapid resolution.

We operate the Swedish Royal Air Force from Uppsala Airbase, a short distance from the capital city of Stockholm. Here you will be free to station a British Special Forces Task Force to begin the early stages of contemplating your next steps. I would appreciate it if you could contact me with the number of personnel and equipment due to arrive in Sweden to allow for us to accommodate the logistical challenges at our end - I can also confirm that we facilitate the safe passage of your vessel into the Baltic Sea. Following a quick briefing with the Swedish Strategic Defence Network we have made the decision to set up a temporary situation room which will include the constant monitoring of regional threats which we will relay, if appropriate, to your command team to ensure the safe operation of all deployed forces in Sweden and any potential compromises to your mission planning.

If I can assist in any other way please do not hesitate to contact me sooner - I look forward to hearing from you in relation to required information.

Regards,
Peter Hultqvist

MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

Yugoslavia is closely monitoring the situation in Russia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would advise any Yugoslav citizens considering to travel to Russia to do so with CAUTION.

Yugoslavia hopes that the demonstrations can come to a peaceful resolution and that the government supports its people. We also stress the importance of non-violence especially towards diplomats present in Moscow

MOSCOW, RUSSIA

"WHERE IS THE PRESIDENT?" Ambassador Milan would shout through the phone at his Embassies' Partisan Security Chief. "It has been over an hour. What the hell are you doing? Have you not seen the news? There are thousands of people outside Hotel Moscow, they're breaking in!"

The Partisan Chief would nervously respond "Mr. Ambassador, the Presidents security detachment had last informed us that they were leaving the hotel bound for the airport. We haven't heard since. I've contacted officials of the airport and he hasn't arrived."

"WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR? That is our PRESIDENT. Take the entire Embassy staff with you I dont care. Ensure that he is safe!"
The Ambassador would slam the phone as he was glued to the TV Screen watching the protests at Hotel Moscow unfold. He would contact the Russians inquiring the whereabouts of the President and letting them know he is sending security personnel to retrieve him HeadlessSeeker

Luckily, due to GA resolutions the Yugoslav Embassy in Moscow would have 22 security personnel stationed. All 22 of them commanded by Capt Matijda Petrovic of the Partisan Detachment would immediately gear up. All 22 of them would be in standard Partisan uniform and armed with Skorpion SUB Machine guns. 6 Embassy vehicles would be fueled and readied for the security personnel. Once all strapped up, they would immediately head onto roads towards the hotel to see if they can retrieve the President. It would not be surprising if they were not able to get close due to the massive crowds on the street. Dutchy HeadlessSeeker
The President had attended the conference with his aides and security personnel. He would have had 2 security personnel with him at the Hotel.

The timing of the Presidents departure was extremely unfortunate. Upon leaving, they would have been directly exposed onto the oncoming protestors. The President, his aides and security personnel huddled together and panicked as they figured out what to do. Their escort vehicle was out of sight and it was too late to run back into the hotel as it had been breached. Theyd run away from the hotel towards a nearby street however they had apparently been noticed. An apparent mob had encircled them.

It was at first chaos. The delegation and security staff huddled together, keeping the president in the center, to avoid him getting hurt. There was mass confusion as well when the protestors approached the delegation. The protestors were at first met with aggression from the 2 security staff who hardly had any chance of fighting back. They tried to pave a clear path but it did not work. The aides began to shout that they are diplomats from Yugoslavia.

After a few minutes of confusion, it became apparent that these protestors circling the delegation were not trying to cause any harm, in fact they were protecting them. They also noticed the red and communist attire. In that moment the President took initiative as the protestors began to lead the delegation towards a truck.

President Milosevic approached the man with the megaphone. With his left hand on the mans shoulder and his right hand on the megaphone pointing it towards so that their conversation was not amplified, "Comrade, I apologize for the initial confusion. Things are getting rough here and we want to safely exit. Before I speak into any megaphone I'd like to know who you are? What is going on here? Revolutionaries of what cause? Forgive my ignorance we had just left a conference and this chaos broke out." HeadlessSeeker

NORWEGIAN GOVERNMENT

The Norwegian Customs Service would close the border at Storskog Border Control Station which was the only legal border crossing between Norway and Russia and airlines offering flights between Norway and Russia have suspended operations upon request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after Russia was placed with a 'Do Not Travel' ban after threats had been analysed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Jens Stoltenberg has called for peace in Russia and for all tensions to be deescalated through peaceful means.

REPUBLIC OF KOREA GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL STATEMENT

"The Republic of Korea fully condemns the attack against foreign diplomats, government ministers, and other people by the communist insurgency. The Republic of Korea completed its full withdrawal of Korean nationals, a number of ethnic Koreans, and assets as well as all diplomatic staff from all our Embassies and consulates over the past 72 hours as the security situation collapses in Russia. We call upon the Russian Government to immediately take steps to safety ensure the wellbeing of foreign diplomats and ministers, and call for complete transparency on the situation on the ground. Due to the inability of Russia to maintain its own security and uphold international norms, the Republic of Korea will suspend all travel to and from Russia, all inbound passengers from Russian airports regardless of nationality or visa will be denied entry and transit to their country of origin. All travelers including Russian nationals who have passed through another airport prior to arrival in Korea and have been vetted by border control will still be allowed entry into the Republic of Korea.

The Korean Embassy in Ukraine will be responsible for Korean-Russian relations, and at this time, the Russian Federation has severely shown its internal faultiness that were factors in the economic crisis, health crisis, and now security crisis. The Republic of Korea is extremely worried about the future of stability in Europe and Asia as a result of Russia's internal policies and we call on Russia to transparently engage with the global community and work together to alleviate the economic crisis through implementation of the Korean resolution to the Global Assembly, ensuring a secure government system to allow efficacy in government transfers so that States can feel reassured of their purchases of government assets, and address the political instability to allow the Global Assembly to act accordingly to assist Russia during these turbulent time.

H.E. President Kim reaffirms Korea's commitment to the principles of global cooperation and democracy, however, we recognize the growing need for states to take independent action due to the lack of communicative and transparent actions by the Russian Government. H.E. The President has spoken with his Spanish counterpart to reaffirm Korea's unwavering support behind the Spanish Republic following the events in Moscow Hotel. The Republic of Korea continues to offer its financial, medical, and civil support to the Russian Federation to help them water this crisis, and H.E. the President called on the global community to work together to end this crisis.
