Dear Minister,

I am writing to you today in response to the terrible loss of life in Northern Nigeria. My government would like to offer its condolences and express that we stand in solidarity with Nigeria. We would like to offer our support in whatever form you require it, from financial support to humanitarian aid.

Furthermore, we are aware that there has been little diplomatic contact between Nigeria and the Netherlands. This is something we would like to change, at your earliest convenience I would like to schedule a meeting in which we could discuss topics of mutual interest.

It with Nigeria's deepest gratitude that I thank you for your words and thoughts as we mourn our loss. We are grateful for the outpooring of international support and we stand together with all nations against terrorism. We have not yet totally assessed the damage as bringing law and order back has been our top priority, however reconstruction shall begin soon and we would welcome support from Dutch companies and humanitarians in such an effort.

I would be happy to host you here at the foreign office for a meeting so we could discuss the future relations between our two people.
