Foreign Minister Karsten Jürke, upon hearing that he had a call from the Nigerian Minister of State, requested a line be encrypted for his purposes. As soon as it was, the Federal Minister emptied his office of any secretaries and picked up the phone.

"Good afternoon, you've reached the Federal Foreign Office, this is Minister Jürke," he greeted, "How may I help you today?"

"Hello, sir, this is Viola Onwuliri, Nigerian State Minister, it is no secret relations have gone cold between our two states due to the rise in tensions between Europe and South America. However, it is Nigeria's goal to conduct open and honest diplomacy with all world states. As such I was hoping to reestablish the diplomatic missions Nigeria closed in Germany, and discuss areas where our two states might cooperate."

The Foreign Minister gave a chuckle, rather surprised that the Nigerians wished to reestablish diplomatic relations.

"Funny, I seem to recall that your Ambassador to the Global Assembly wished to start a fight between the Turkish and German ambassador," he icily retorted, a cold tension already being felt through the phoneline, "I don't believe that we have gotten an apology for that, or an investigation from the Global Assembly proper. I'm willing to discuss, but I first would like to know what your opinion on that debacle was, if you may be so-inclined to answer."

"My opinion on a spat in the global assembly? It is of little importance to me, words were said of an unflattering sort by both sides, such is the way of impassioned debate. Given the almost constant bickering between delegates at the assembly I give them very little thought when planning matters of state."

"Hmmm...perhaps I should give little thought to your decision then to reopen the Nigerian diplomatic missions in Germany then? After all, I have matters of the State that require attending to." he hummed, a snide tone within his question, before he returned to a more serious tone.

"With all due respect to your government, the comments that were made were far more derogatory from the Nigerian delegation, than that of the Turkish and German delegates, who were primarily stating undisputed facts about your country to counter statements of 'imperialist' and 'warmonger', as your delegation continued to press forwards to deliberately bring up the fact that we have had a history of human rights violations; I will admit, the ambassador got carried away with trying to physically intimidate your ambassador. That is not what I expect of my diplomatic corps, nor is it what I expect of a reasonable adult, but the fact of the matter is that the Nigerian delegation pushed for a reaction, not us." His tone was fierce, and his demand uncompromising, as he continued.

"Last I recall from the history books, the only time that Germany had violated its citizens' rights, or the rights of any other country's citizens, were in the 2nd World War and the Battle of Europe, both of which are continuing to be atoned for. I have seen the news, and I must congratulate you on beginning to fix your own country's human rights violations, but you have much more to do before you can atone for literal decades or breaking international law, both by the charter of the Global Assembly and by the charter of the United Nations. I apologize for the actions of my ambassador, but I will not be told that our side shares equal blame when your diplomatic representative to an international body attempted to push for a reaction. Have a good day." Upon saying this, the Federal Foreign Minister proceeded to hang up the call, sighing in frustration as he called in an aide to detail him with a briefing of other diplomatic courses of action requested by the Chancellor.

The Nigerian State Department would inform the Cabinet of the results of the phonecall and move on with their day, convinced more thoroughly of isolation from Europe. All this would be private.
