Gentlemen,

A series of deliberate and coordinated terrorist attacks have occurred on our friends and neighbors around the world. From the information I have been able to gather on such short notice, the victims of these attacks so far include: The Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. I regret to inform you that these attacks have largely been against unarmed, civilian targets. Several embassies in Iraq have been or are under attack from gunmen. We have been unable to ascertain exactly who these gunmen, or the terrorists, are loyal to. However, the organization required to carry out such a high number of organized attacks all over the world, in such a short time, with high-causality weapons leads me to believe that these attacks were either sponsored, or orchestrated, by a sovereign government. Attacks on the embassies are presently occurring in Iraq, so therefor Iraq's government should be our first suspect.

As Supreme Nordic Commander, it is my duty to recommend that each of you do the following:
1. Bring your armed forces to a Critical state of alert,
2. Surround any Iraqi embassies and consulates in your country with armed police, or soldiers,
3. Harden "soft targets" in your respective countries such as the Royal Palaces and government offices,
4. Ensure that VIPs, including Royalty and government Ministers, are in secure locations and are under protection,
5. Deny entry or exit to all foreign nationals, and divert or ground all flights origination from the Middle East.
6. Look into evacuating your embassies/consulates in Iraq as soon as possible.

If you need assistance from my office, please do not hesitate to call or send me a message. An attack on a NORSCOM member has not occurred so far as I know, however it may be inevitable. If such an attack does take place, please have a designated person in your respective high commands to inform my office so that we may rapidly organize relief or a counter strike.

Gentlemen,

After an assessment of overseas assets held by the Kingdoms of Sweden, Denmark, and Norway I have come to the conclusion that our primary foreign objective should be the evacuation of the Danish and Swedish embassies in Iraq (Norway does not have an embassy in Iraq). The Norwegian Royal Navy presently has about a dozen Royal Navy vessels - a combination of surface warships and submarines - stationed at a secret facility in the Southern Ocean. I've spoken with Defense Minister Solberg, who has agreed that these ships would be available for use in a NORSCOM operation to rescue Danish/Swedish civilians from the embassies in Baghdad. However, either Sweden or Denmark would need to provide a few oilers for the mission.

Such an operation would either be staged via ship from the Persian Gulf, or via ship off the coast of Syria, which would require Syrian cooperation. Both of these possible operations would be exceptionally dangerous. Norwegian special forces would be available for this operation as either the primary force in the operation, or a secondary force that could be used as search and rescue in the event of a failed mission.

If either the Swedish or Danish Air Forces have spy aircraft available, they would be integral in conducting a successful operation, as Norway does not yet have such capabilities.

Dear Commander Dan Jasper (@Odinson),

Thank you for the initial emails, however I must correct you. The Kingdom of Denmark has no active embassy in the nation of Iraq, so therefore it will only be Swedish civilians in the Swedish Embassy that will need to be evacuated HOWEVER the Kingdom of Denmark will help in anyway shape or form that it can, I must also advise you that the Kingdom of Denmark has already reposition 20 Troops from the Danish 3rd CBRN-Defence and Construction Battalion, Ingeniørregimentet (Engineer Regiment) to help investigate and test the chemical weapons used in these deadly attacks. The Danish Armed Forces have also been put on alert and are ready to mobilize at a moments notice.

Dear Commander Dan Jasper,

We have been monitoring the situation in Iraq carefully and despite our best attempts to avoid involvement in the growing conflict in the Middle East and following consultation with the Swedish Department of Foreign Affairs we have made the decision to barricade staff within the embassy and issue emergency evacuation procedures. Swedish, Norwegian and Danish nations are granted the ability to seek refuge within the Swedish Embassy on the basis they are able to display their respective national passport; the focus is to ensure that these nationals are repatriated within fourteen days where we will begin the full closure of sites in the region.

I have granted the use of the Swedish Special Operations Group to prepare planning for the use of specialised military force in order to enable this.

I am reassured by the unprescidented support of the Nordic Council, in respect to the ratified Nordic Concordant, which will undoubtedly serve us well in this hostile environment. I have much to discuss domestically in order to assist the Department of Foreign Affairs with developing a safe and prompt evacuation plan however believe it is important to establish communications with the Nordic Council for emergency briefing; to do this I would suggest a 'hotline' established via encrypted telephonic lines with video capability if deemed necessary.
