"Thank you, I have authorised the appropriate funds to be wired to the South Korean Government. How are things going within the Republic of Korea Navy? We would like to commit to a joint training exercise when things with Russia normalise."

Park Kyungjil [Chief of Naval Operations]: "I believe the situation in Russia has sent a message to our political leadership...choosing his words carefully...That the security concerns of our country can be ignited with a match at the will of foreign powers. The Russia crisis, has shown the need for a robust national defense with the latest equipment and technology. I have always appreciated President Kim's balancing act between defense and diplomacy, while we both agree they go hand in hand, we have both tried to balance the growing defense concerns with our desires for the peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula. However, sometimes, things require we go another route. The fears of the Soviet Union will only drive up tensions on the Peninsula, and investing in a strong Korean Navy is the only way to protect Korea from foreign powers. I look forward to hosting or participating in training exercises with Norway in the future, as the threat of Russia will only grow. I hope we can both work together to ensure our countries can stand up to the Russians and their aggression."

"Norway has, and always will work alongside our global partners and we consider South Korea as a very close partner and if anyone from South Korea needs something from us then we will try and work around this to the best of our ability. Is there anything else that you require from me before I make the trip home to begin preparations of welcoming our new ships in the coming days?"

Park Kyungjil [Chief of Naval Operations]: "I look forward to the future cooperation together. I believe that will be all, thank you for making the trip Rear Admiral. Please give us the name list for each vessel as well, so we can take care of that." After the two naval chiefs signed the agreement, and a photo was taken, a copy in Norwegian was handed to the Norwegian Chief of the Navy and a copy in Korean was handed to the Korean Chief of Naval Operations. Two copies in English were also handed out, the English translated copy would be sent to the Norwegian Embassy in Seoul for recording it and the Korean Ministry of National Defense for recording. Before the Norwegian delegation would depart, an official gift including ROK Navy shirts, Busan Fishcakes, and a case of Korean chili paste were wrapped and given to each of the four delegation as a parting gift. The Chief of Naval Operations would escort the delegation to the Busan Airport himself. "I look forward to the naval exercises, he extended his hand to the entire delegation and I look forward to our cooperation to address the new threats to our countries as partners."

"I will have the name list faxed over in the coming days after they're formally passed down by the Minister of Defence. Thank you for the hospitality ." The delegation collected their gifts and made their way to Busan Airport before catching a flight to Seoul and then back to Oslo to recommence their duties in their respective departments.
