Gentlemen,

I hope that this message meets you well. The news of the military takeover in France has swept the world. Everyone in Europe, including Norway, has taken notice. For centuries now, France has stood as a beacon for new democratic institutions to look up to. I make no judgement on whether or not it was necessary for this takeover to happen, but I hope that this new government has the best interests of the French people at heart and wishes for there to be new elections in the country, so that democracy can be restored. As I stated in my original message, which was a public statement, Norway is prepared to help your country in whatever way possible in order to restore France's democratic institutions. After a decision by King-in-Council, and a non-binding resolution by the Storting, I am now formally offering to you and your government this assistance. If need be, I'm sure we could also garner Swedish help as well. Please tell me how we can help, and if there is any kind of timetable to holding elections in France.

Classification Level: CLASSIFIED ​ Dear Anthony Vinter, Minister of Foreign Affairs We understand your concern, alongside that of the rest of Europe and the world. But I can assure you that France remains the beacon of democracy that it has always been; what we have done was not only for the sake of our nation and the French people but it was to preserve the democratic way of life that Jean-Marie Le Pen and his government were putting at risk with their incompetence and warmongering ways. The current government will remain in power until Le Pen and his government's term would be concluded, three years from now. In the mean time, the current government under Chief of Staff Monchal and Major General Barrera will assure that governments such as Le Pen's will never be possible again by revising our constitution, justice system, and various other things. As for help, we ask only that you give us time to prove that we are not the dictatorship that we appear to be. Le Pen and his government are soon to be placed before the Constitutional Council and the Law Court where they will face justice for their crimes and their involvement in these crimes. Once the time comes, your government and all those of the world will see why this was a necessary evil to assure the preservation of democracy and French life.
