[Norway] Phone Call to Ireland

An encrypted message was sent from Jakob Vinter, the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, to Mister Gerald Monahan. The message explained that in one hour's time, King Enoch planned to place a phone call to Ardghar Ó Cuimín, Head of Government.

Monahan, would send an encrypted message to his Prime Minister, Ardghar Ó Cuiman notifying him about the scheduled call with the King of Norway.

Exactly an hour later, King Enoch called Prime Minister Ó Cuiman in a secure and private line. He waited for the other side to pick up the phone and answer.

After hearing a ring on the telephone in his office, Prime Minister Ó Cuiman would pick up the phone and open an encrypted line of communication with his Norwegian counterpart.

"Hello, this is Prime Minister Ó Cuiman speaking, how might I help you?"

"Hello Prime Minister, this is King Enoch of Norway. My Ministry of Foreign Affairs noticed that Ireland has closed several embassies with a number of nations, including The Netherlands initially. While we weren't on this list, I wanted to make sure that everything was alright on the Irish side. Perhaps we missed something, but there didn't seem to be much context provided with the closures. Is everything well, over there?"

"Greetings, your majesty. Now with regards to the recently abrupt changes in my country's foreign policy it is safe to say that we are on course to isolation and non alignment. A few days ago, The Netherlands applied for an exemption from embassy closings which has yet to take effect given the bureacracy involved. As for our well being, The Irish Republic is in good hands, trust me."

"I see, I'm happy to hear that nothing is wrong. Will Norway be allowed to keep its embassy in Ireland?" Enoch said. He awaited the response of the Irish Prime Minister. He felt somewhat relieved that there were no problems.

 

[Dragon]

The Prime Minister took a sip of tea and then continued. "Of course, your majesty...we have no quarrel with the current government in Norway." He said kindly.

"I'm happy to hear that, Prime Minister. I thought I would call, say hello, and inquire about this situation - I'm happy we got to chat. If you ever need anything, feel from to summon my ambassador or give me a call. Have a good day." If there was nothing else to be said between the two, Enoch would end the call.
