Dr. Frost was having trouble sleeping. He had many things on his mind, ranging from the Norwegian troops that were en route to Syria, to domestic developments with the Nordic Council, Sweden, and Denmark, and also that his government was eager to increase government expenditures. He had been laying in bed for two hours with his eyes closed. He had been trying to lay as still as possible with his eyes closed, but it wasn't doing the trick. His mind was racing, it was almost painful. Meanwhile, Dr. Frost's wife was sleeping soundly right next to him. He often envied how well she was usually able to sleep. He was almost certain that she would outlive him, given that she had so much stress in her life. Felix sat up, rubbed his eyes, and sighed. Before he could further contemplate his own mortality, he noticed flashing red, blue, and white lights outside. Seconds later, there were several knocks at his bedroom door. Before he could tell whomever it was to enter, the door opened. It was his chief of staff.

He walked over to one of the lamp's near their bed and turned it on. "Prime Minister, I'm sorry to disturb you right now, but we've gotten word from the NIS that Belgian troops have launched an offensive into France. I just got off the phone with our ambassador in Paris who confirmed the same," he said. He walked into Dr. Frost's closet and pulled out one of the Prime Minister's suits.
"The Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs are waiting at Akershus Fortress - the High Command should be there soon," he noted. Dr. Frost quickly slipped on his three-piece suit and brought his dark tie which could be done on the way there. Once he was in his motorcade, he took out his cellphone and made a secure call to the Minister-President of The Netherlands.

The call would be received by the central switchboard of the Ministry of General Affairs, after the call had been verified as genuine it would be secured and encrypted prior to being forwarded to the Prime Minister's Office.

Prime Minister Elco Brinkman answered, "Mr Prime Minister, how may I be of service?"

"Minister-President, I'm sorry for calling you at..." Dr. Frost checked his watch, "one in the morning... The Norwegian Intelligence Service has just informed me that thousands of Belgian troops have crossed the border into France. The NIS has told me that they are 100-percent certain that this is not an exercise, and that Belgium is launching some kind of invasion into north eastern France. I've just only learned about this myself, so I felt the need to pass the information on to you... Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help," he said.

"Thank you for the call Dr Frost. The sudden eruption of armed conflict across our southern frontier comes as quite a shock to my government. We've immediately reached out to both sides in an attempt to implement a cessation of hostilities in order to implement a path to peace. With the Dutch intelligence services still in the process of being built up, we thank the NIS for its quick analysis of gathered intelligence and hope future information regarding the conflict will be shared in order to protect both Dutch and Norwegian national security."

"We're happy to help.. Have you heard of the Russian ultimatum for France and Belgium?" he asked. "We are quite worried about this escalating. I hope that you let us know if you need any kind of physical help with this situation," Dr. Frost said.

"Yes, the Russian ultimatum is rather worrying. While we of course support their calls for a cease fire, their threat of further violence will not help the cause and would only further destabalise the region and continent. We hope it won't come to a Russian intervention. I also wish to thank you for your support during these trying times."

"Please keep me in the loop, Minister-President. I wish you good luck. Goodbye," he said, before hanging up the phone.
