Top Secret, Private Military Operation

Operation Irish Unity was authorized by The Army Council of The Irish Republican Army in order to send a message to Britain with regards to their continued occupation of the six counties and the collaborationist impulses of The Irish Government who have abandoned our oppressed brothers and sisters in the north, current circumstances demand action.

Deployment -

×8 operatives armed with 1 Heckler Koch G3 Rifle (each), 1 Browning Hi-Powered (each), Four Extra Loaded Magazines for each weapon.

Provisions of food, water, and tea. ID Papers & Irish Passports (all operatives have been given a new name and basic information in order to maintain cover)



Objective -

Crossed the border between Èire and Northern Ireland via the town of Ballyshannon and head southeast towards Enniskillen, once in Enniskillen proceed to neutralize local security presence. Avoid attacking civies.

At dawn, all 8 operatives would grab their firearms, provisions, and passports before proceeding to enter their two respective vehicles. There was a profound since of uncertainty in the air as the two operatives at the wheel turned the ignition key and sped off into the distance from the border town of Ballyshannon in County Donegal not far from Northern Ireland. Their spirits were cautiously optimistic and their sense of dedication to the cause of a united Ireland solidified..

At around 10:30 am, the operatives neared the border between Èire and Northern Ireland. Prior to resuming their journey to Enniskillen, the operatives would pull onto the side of the road for a smoke break and a cup of tea.

At 11:15, the operatives would pile back into their vehicles and go on about their way towards the border. It was their hope that the security presence would be light and undemanding of them lest their cover be blown in a heartbeat.

At 11:48, they would arrive at one of the few security checkpoints.

Northern Ireland had held a peaceful track record for over a decade, with no border controls between Ireland and Northern Ireland, access to the north was relatively easy to gain and the British Government held no concerns. However, no security checkpoints were active within the country and was covered by local police services. The co-existing border of Ireland and Northern Ireland was relaxed and no recorded problems in years. Police Forces across NI were well funded in line with the British Governments annual budget and had Armed Firearms Officers trained in every district; along with vehicles that were used in The Troubles in the eventuality of riots or a return to that time.

The operatives would continue their journey to Enniskillen taking note of what seemed to be a low level security presence that was virtually non existent on the British side of the Irish borders.

Half an hour later, the operatives would arrive in Belleck where they would rest for the remainder of the day before making contact with IRA headquarters regarding the progress of their mission so far.

Not much really seemed to be going on apart from sleeping, eating, and drinking. It was decided that the operatives would rise at 3 am and leave town.
