Given the historical presence of the Yaruba people of Nigeria's strong ties to Benin, and the large state of chaos and a slow economy, trickling across the border in the way of smuggling and illegal immigration, the Nigerian High Command was given orders by President Goodluck Jonathan to begin drawing up Operation Isokan(Unity). The Operation was to involve the full scale integration of Benin into the Federal Republic of Nigeria as several states, this would largely improve the living conditions of the Population of Benin and provide them stable representation for the first time in years.

As the High Command Processed the orders a deployment list was drawn up as well as preliminary battle plans, nothing further was done as of yet.

Nigerian High Command, and specifically General Kudobe Lysander of the 1st and 2nd Divisions becoming fully convinced of the approval of Isokan, he would order the 1st Logistics Support Regiment into the field about 10km West of the Nigerian town of Ijio. They would outfit most of their Renault trucks with construction equipment although they would also ensure they had enough food and water rations for their mission. Once to their designated location they would begin construction of Forward Operating Base Ijio. The Forward Operating Base would be constructed to allow the quick outfitting of support logistics units with fuel, ammunition, food, water, and other supplies. It would consist of two ammo depots, two fuel depots, two ration depots, and a supply depot. Construction would be secret and the area would be secured by Logistics men carrying AK-47 assault rifles loaded with ammunition. It was expected that construction of FOB-Ijio would take Seven days.

With the completion of FOB-Ijio, the 1st Scout Company would be deployed to the FOB to secure its perimiter and ensure its security. They would be fully fueled and equiped. Their vehicles checked for readiness and armed. They would all carry the AK47 assault rifle with spare magazines and rations. They would ensure no one got too close to the FOB. Meanwhile orders were given to the 1st Logistics Support Regiment to go into the field about 10km East of the Nigerian town of Swate. With the Completion of both Forward Operating Bases, Logistics personnel not needed to maintain the Bases would be sent back the Main Army Base at Lagos. Around 100 Logistics men would be left at each FOB to man the supply depots and ensure that rapid refueling, rearming, and feeding could be done of all units returning to the FOBs for supplies. x10 Renault TRM 10000s would be left behind in their control to aid them in their functions. The 2nd Scout Company would now be deployed to secure the perimeter of FOB-Swate. Their vehicles would be fully armed and fueled. They would carry rations and extra ammunition for their AK47 Assault Rifles. They would ensure that nobody was allowed near the Forward Opearting Base near Swate.

Now, General Kudobe Lysander would ask for permission to conduct stealth reconnaissance missions over Benin, it would be granted by President Jonathan, and orders would then be issued through encrypted means to High Command at the Lagos Air Force Base. The Pilots of Night Squadron and Black Squadron would be briefed on their upcoming recon mission. Their objective was to confirm the location of the Benin Air Force and Army Bases as well as the Specific locations of their troop concentrations at specific times of night over the period of a week. They would be flying multiple sorties per night. Their brand new aircraft would be inspected and prepared for flight. They would be fully fueled, they would however remain unarmed to allow for maximum range, their was no chance of them being spotted by the officials in Benin, their technology far out stripped that of their neighbors that they were sure of.

The x4 HAL FGFA of each squadron once fully fueled would be prepared for their night mission, as the Sun set in Lagos, their pilots would make their final preparations and enter the cockpits of their aircraft. Pilot and Co-pilot would do their last preflight checks, and once all systems were operational, they would start their aircraft and taxi, taking off carefully one by one, ensuring a safe and orderly take off they would climb to an altitude of 12,000 feet and gather in two formations of four, organized by squadron. Once they had all safely reached altitude they would travel towards the Border with Benin at subsonic cruising speed, all lights off, all stealth countermeasures would be active. They would be flying dark, but their encrypted radio signals with each other would be active and switched to a private channel. As they approved the border the squadrons would split up. Night Squadron would break South, focusing over Porto Novo looking for Army and Air Base installations and the tell tale signs of heavy equipment use and infantry concentration, it was known that the Benin Armed Forces Operated roughly 4,300 men organized into six battalions of combat and support and four rapid response battalions. Night Squadron would use their advanced ground IRST targeting pods to gain a detailed understanding of the ground in Benin from a thermal imaging perspective. Images would be analysed by ground support using the known infrared bandwidths of heavy equipment and men in infantry gear and concentration. While focused around Porto Novo, they would also scan all of South Benin over time, concentrating on areas of suspected army locations, these would over time be confirmed by thermal image analysis.

Black Squadron would copy this tactic, but focus their attention in Northern Benin, mainly around the cities of Parakou and Kandi, but over time covering all of Northern Benin.

Both Squadrons would fly around 12,000 feet, they would fly only between Sundown and Sunset, always leaving the skies of Benin before Sunrise. They were virtually undetectable under these circumstances by any nation, much less Benin. They would return to base as needed for fuel or when the time restriction called for it, they would fly as much as possible at night, the pilots resting and debriefing during the day.

Having now scanned the entire ground area of Benin, all data would be sent to high command for analysis. At the same time the Majors of all companies to be deployed would be called to Lagos and would be ordered to dismiss their companies for 10 days of leave to the destination within Nigeria of their choice. Most would go home, but several would take the opportunity to go on short vacations. At the same time the Majors would then be issued 7 days of leave.

Black Squadron and Night Squadron would now be recalled to base. Their mission considered complete. Their pilots would be issued 4 days leave. Their aircraft would undergo maintenence checks before being put back into their hangars. At the moment all personnel but the logisitics personnel at the FOBs would be returned or on leave.
