Begining Deployment for French Foreign Legions - Operation Red Angels

The 300 French Foreign Legion from 1st Foreign Legion Infantry Battalion would be geared up with Felin Combat systems individually and individually armed with FAMAS F1, PAMAS G1, and FR F2 Sniper Rifles. After armed and geared up complete, all assigned Infantry Battalion would prepare their equipment and pack their bags the night before departing from their home bases, Aubagne, France. Early in the morning, several busses from French Army logistical command would pick up these 300 French Foreign Legion Infantry personnel that would leave for Charles De gaulle international airport, Paris. It would take 7 hours to reach Paris, Charles De Gaulle International Airport.

After reaching to airport, these 300 FFL Personnel would board onto Airbus A380, Air France-based carrier operating from Charles De Gaulle International Airport. As these personnel would board onto Airbus A380 aircraft that would depart for Danang Airbase, Vietnam. Since all necessary loadout has been completed, the Airbus A380 would be fully fully fueled and taxied on the runway 1-07. Upon getting clearance from ATC, Airbus A380 would took off from Charles De Gaulle International Airport and their designation is Danang Airbase, Vietnam. The route that A380 would follow, which is IN > JN > KN > KM > LM > LL > ML > NL > NK > OK. It should take approximately 16 hour and 50 minutes to reach Danang Airbase, Vietnam. In the meantime, the naval deployment are on the preparing stages.

The ATC of the Alexandria Naval Base, supported by other radar systems installed and operational in the National Territory of Alexandria would pick up the A380, which had entered unauthorized argentine air space.

The indicated route in post #2 mentions sector KM, where Alexandria is, and considering the exact route was not indicated, including which airspaces it planned to cross, it would be assumed that argentine air space was being used.

Being the flight completely of the books and not informed, the ATC would contact the A380 and instruct it to identify itself and inform current heading.

In the meantime, 2 of the on alert Su-30MKI's fromt he 21st Fighter Wing stationed in Alexandria would scramble and take off, fully fueled and loaded (they were on quick reaction duty) each with 2x R-77 and enough autogun ammo. They would immediatly pick up the A380 on their radars and set direct course to intercept.

All this would be done in a matter of minutes, as to avoid the aircraft from escaping.

After seeing 2 Argentine Flag marked Su-30 MKI, The Air France Airbus A380 would contact, "Argentine Sukhoi's 30 MKI, This is Juliet 66, Air France Carrier, we are heading to Vietnam. We have navigational problem and we have entered the wrong airspace, please escort us out of this airspace. We are currently heading to LM, LL, ML, NL, NK, OK navigational pathway. If you help us escort the airspace, we would be pleased to head our next course. We fully comply with Argentine Airspace."

Air France Airbus A380 would contact these two Su-30 MKI and remain on the KM sector. They would fully comply with Argentine Airspce rules.

Given the communication was with the ATC, and that the argentine fighters had not yet established contact, they would relay the message to the ATC and give no reply to the french aircraft.

"Juliet 66, are you reporting an emergency? Do you request emergency landing?" (ATC)

The suspicious military ATC operator would by now be accompanied by a superior, who was in constant communication with the Military Authorities of the base. Considering the recent events in Serbia, the situation was very sensible and it was suspected that this off the charts flight might have something to do with it. A possibility was that the flight was evacuating kosovar war criminals. All this of course would be just a private thought of the argentine military command.

"Juliet 66, what is your final destination?"

In the meantime, the 2 Su-30MKI would be ordered to take positions, one behind the A380, at a safe distance, and the other one to the left side, both at the flight altitude of the A380 and at safe distances. They would be instructed to stand by for new orders.

Since there is no Argentenian Response, the Airbus A380 would exit the Argentine Airspace vector KM. They would follow LM, LL, ML, NL, NK, OK navigational pathway to reach Vietnam. By now, the Airbus A380 reached to Vietnamese airspace. Upon entering Vietnamese airspace, the Airbus A380 would have a clearance prior to deployment and they would land at Danang Airbase, Vietnam.

After landing at Danang Airbase, the A380 would taxied on to Danang Airbase runway until it stopped fully. Once it has stopped, the staircase had been attached to A380. The 300 French Foreign Legion personnel would exit the Airbus A380 one at a time. The job is to establish temporary army installation. These personnel would register about personnel count and weapons to French Ministry of Defense.

(The aircraft would remain over argentine airspace)

Considering there was no response from the french aircraft to the clear instructions of the ATC given in post #5, the MiG's would be instructed with establishing visual contact and reinforcing it with direct VHF radio communication. The pilot of the MiG on the left of the Airbus would approach the front of the big airliner, and try make visual contact with the pilot indicating to use the radio.

"Juliet 66, this is the Argentine Air Force, you have failed to respond to the instructions given by argentine authorities. Please, state your final destination or we will be forced to make you land."

All communications, both ways, would be recorded for potential future use.

Since the aircraft is on Argentine Airspace, the Pilot from the A380 would respond, "Argentine Airforce, this is Julliet six six, I am instructed by the French government, we are heading to vietnam. We are having flight emergency, we want to land nearby airport. Sorry for delaying the response. We will comply with you following International airspace procedures. Please clear us to land."

Airbus A380 pilot would try to make visual contact with Argentine Airforce pilot to indicating to use radio. "Julliet six six, I say again, we have a flight emergency, we want to land. Please guide us and help us land." The A380 pilot would wait for Argentine Airforce pilot so that they can guide A380 to land nearby airport.

"Juliet six six, this is Alexandria Naval Base Airport, you are clear to land immediatly on runway 27, we are transmiting the course information right now. Emergecy services will be ready on the ground.

Please state your emergency as to prepare the assistance ont he ground."

With the message sent to the french aircraft, the argentine fighter jets would back down and accompany the airbus from a safe distance until it landed at the mentioned airport, landing shortly after on a nearby runway in the military sector of the base.

Emergency vehicles would be waiting on the tarmac, including firetrucks, several ambulances and military police vehicles.

Once the plane came to a halt the emergency services would close in.

Airbus A380 would contact back, "Argentine Airspace, this is Julliet six-six, we are low on fuel and we need to land immediately. We can barely keep up by half an hour. So we need to refuel our plane so that we can head to our next destination. Also, we need to check our plane so that there is not any maintenance issues with our planes. Argentine airspace, we request you so that we can land immediately."

As Airbus A380 would proceed nearby, the pilot would ask permission from ATC, "Tower one, this is Julliet six-six, we have a flight emergency, we need to land."

It would land on Runway 27 after contacted from ATC. The A380 would taxied until it came to full stop.

With the aircraft parked on one of the edges of the tarmac, with the emergency vehicles on stand by, a refueling truck would be called with its corresponding crew.

At the same time, inmigration agents escorted by 2 armed military police officers would come to the aircraft and board it. They would request the passenger manifest and to speak with the captain.

After the aircraft A380 parked and Captain of the plane request crew to refuel the plane. "Ground Crew, this is Julliet six-six, requesting refueling the plane."

As soon as immigration officer along with two armed forces personnel stepped inside the Airbus A380, the Captain would came out from his cockpit. The captain of Airbus A380 would provide list of passengers manifest. "Welcome to Air France flight, I hope I gave you enough passengers list and we are going to vietnam for military training." The passengers are not regular flight passengers and they are French Foreign Legion Soldiers who are travelling from French to Vietnam.

The customs officer would take the list and the pilots explanation and así for some minutes to review the information.

"Do you have military cargo on board?"

In the meantime, the refueling crew would connect the fuelhose to the aircraft. They would be surprised to learn from the on board computer that the aircraft had almost a full tank, even when they had declared fuel emergency. The landing itself was a miracle given the extra weight Of the plane.

This would be immediatly informed to the argentine authorities, privately.

The Captain would be very surprised to hear the question despite of what he gave information about military passengers on board. He would think for a moment and mentally took note about Argentine Immigration customs. He thought on his head that he regretted to enter KM vector and he should not have done that. He made a grave mistake to enter the KM vector. Pilot would think for a moment and would carefully respond so that he would not slip the tongue.

"Yes, we have military cargo on board. Can you please let us go? I have you every details that you need."

"I have to go back and present this information to mi superiors. " In the meantime, I offer all military personnel on board to be transported to a empty hangar we have prepared for your people to wait until we can sort things out. They have access to bathrooms there and more space than among the seats of this aircraft." The argentine official would say.

3 buses would be brough next tot he aircraft, with he mission to transport all passengers and crew to a specially accomodated hangar, next to one of the sides of the airbase. The hangar would be empty and chair and benches had been brought, bathrooms and some water canisters where also brought to make the wait more comfortable. All entrances and exits where guarded by argentine military police.

"Given your military personnel has no special visa requested, we cannot allow them into argentine soil, therefore they will have to remain there."

Armed military police would oversee the whole process.

------------
The argentine official would then go back to the offices of the base and have an urgent private meeting with its superiors. He would present all documentation. The facts were clear:

- France violated argentine airspace without any notice.
- The aircraft is loaded with military personnel and their correspondent armament and equipment.
- The crew responded erratically and misleading way.
- The pilot failed to comply on the first notice and Argentina had to pull its fighter aircraft in position before they agreed to land.
- The pilot lied about having a fuel emergency.

This information would be shared with the Argentine Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence.

The pilot would took mental note about the Argentine Authority and said, "No need to offer the extra space. We should remain in the aircraft. Do what you want to do but we will stay inside the plane. We thank you for your hospitality. Again, we should remain in the aircraft, tell your transport move from Airbus A380."

The co-pilot would sent an encrypted message to French Government that All French Personnel has been arrested by Argentine Official and the plane was forced to land. Meanwhile, French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs became infuriated after listening this news. Privately relations are now sour with Argentina.

The pilot would continue very sarcastically, "we are dying to hear your verdict, let us go, we will never come back to this area."

"As you please." The argentine officials remaining int he aricraft would descend together with the military police officers. Once outside, and away from the frenchs, they would privately confer on how to proceed.

It was decided that the french would be allowed to remain in the aircraft, but no electricity or external supply would be provided. At the sime time, a heavy military police guard would be established around the aircraft, consisting of 40 armed military police agents (FAL FN Rifles and ammo). They had private orders to prevent any french to leave the aircraft, but had strict orders not to shoot unless otherwise ordered.

In the mean time, the defiant attitude of the pilot would be noted and reported to the authorities.

Argentine military police would board the aircraft again and ask the pilot.

"Who is in charge of this group? Should we assume you are?"

The Pilot would assure the soldiers that nothing will happen to them. He just simply pray and hope that French government are in talks with Argentine Official. He would remain calm and kept thinking that whatever he done was right and betterment for French Aircraft. He would take mental note about Pesky Argie official and how they were rude to French.

He saw that Argentine Military Police would coming to meet with him and he would dressed up and knot his tie and looks like he's very calm and cool headed.

He would respond, "I am in charge of this group. What can I do to you."

"As person responsible for the group I'm informing you that the argentien justice is intervening in this case and that in the meantime, the aircraft, its cargo and all occupants will have ro remain here until a veredict is firm. We have an hanger for your people to wait more comfortable if you wish to go. We will not provide any service to this aircraft, including fuel, food, energy and other supplies, nor will any occupant be able to leave the aircraft if not for the hangar.

Argentine customs officials will not begin unloading the aircraft cargo hold for inspection and inventoring of the seized equipment."
