TOP SECRET

MAINTENANCE

The aforementioned equipment would be maintained in sections to ensure that America's defensive and offensive capabilities were not harmed by Operation Restoration 1998. Mechanics and engineers from all of the armed services were organized and deployed to facilities around the country and the world to maintain American military equipment. This ranged from applying new paint and checking air pressure in tires to tuning engines, fixing displays, taking out dents, removing rust, fixing software issues, oiling gears, cleaning, replacing old parts, general maintenance, specialized maintenance, and very precise technical maintenance. Significant effort, time, money, and old-fashioned elbow grease would be spent to ensure that all of America's military equipment was kept in proper working order and not only functioned, but looked decent as well. Certain products, such as the aircraft that served as Air Force One or America's growing Navy fleet, would have priority, but all equipment would be maintained. Once the operation was complete, all personnel would return to their normal duty stations and go back to their normal duties.
