They would bypass Italy and Sicily as they made their way to the Strait of Gibraltar to monitor ship traffic going to and from while also preventing outside warships from interfering with European relations.

Once the ships arrived at the chosen position of 36.07929, -4.73921, which would be outside the territorial waters of Spain, British Gibraltar, and Morocco. While they were inside the EEZ, they were conducting a legitimate military exercise. The OKP Nawigator, a reconnaissance ship, would sail across the Strait to 35.94348, -6.06058. From this point the reconnaissance ship would monitor radio traffic and encrypted airwaves to identify foreign military vessels and then pass that information on to the OKP Gwiezdny. Utilizing the acoustic information garnered from previous incidents with Thai ships and known data, if a Thai or Canadian ship were sighted heading towards the Strait of Gibraltar from the Atlantic Ocean.

They would not enter into any territorial waters except for France where they would refuel and replenish as necessary.
