Greetings!

I am writing to you for the purpose of re-establishing bilateral relationship between Philippines and France. The previous French government; under former President Le Pen, had the following agreements and treaties:

1. Free Trade Agreement (http://w11.zetaboards.com/ModernNationsRPG/post/?mode=3&type=1&f=4156414&t=30503287&p=10084240&pg=1)

2. Establishment of three(3) direct flights: (http://w11.zetaboards.com/ModernNationsRPG/single/?p=10085460&t=30503287)

2.1 Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport via our Philippine Air Lines [PAL]
2.2 Mactan-Cebu International Airport to Paris Orly Airport via our Cebu Pacific Air [CEB]
2.3 Kalibo International Airport to Marseille Provence Airport via our Air Asia Zest [APG]

3. Export Agreement (http://w11.zetaboards.com/ModernNationsRPG/topic/30503287/1/#new)

We would like to know if the esteemed Kingdom of Francia would be interested in renewing these three (3) agreements which our incumbent government and your predecessor has worked onto.

We look forward in the renewal of our countries' ties and earnestly look forward to even more joint endeavors between our 2 nation.

Peace and prosperity to the Kingdom of France.

Sincerely yours,

Alan Peter Cayetano

Dear Alan Peter Cayetano,

It is a pleasure to hear from you, we trust that the Federal Republic of the Philippines is prospering?

Upon reviewing the previous agreements made between your government and our previous government, we are more than happy to continue these agreements. Maintaining a bond between our two countries is important to us and we see no reason to change the conditions of our union. If you wish me to sign any renewal documents, feel free to send them and I shall get the paperwork filled in.

I look forward to continuing the bond between our nations.

Many regards,

Pascal Dupont

On behalf of the government of the Federal Republic of the Philippines, I greatly appreciate with the continuity of our existing trade relation. Thank you very much. Just for your update, we have already re-established the Sea Trade route between Manila Port to your Marseille Port. We do have one small favor, if you won't mind? For your motor vehicle shipments, the route was originally from Marseille to Manila (http://w11.zetaboards.com/ModernNationsRPG/topic/30494106/2/#new). Can you change the destination port to Port Irene (Cagayan) hence making it Marseille - Port Irene (Cagayan)?

Now for other another topic, we would like to know the defense posture and policy of the current French government, again if you won't mind us asking.

Sincerely yours,

Alan Peter Cayetano

Dear Alan Peter Cayetano,

We cannot see why changing the route would be a problem, I shall make the necessary arrangements to ensure that shipment now travels from Marseille to Port Irene (Cagayan). It is a pleasure to continue doing business with your country.

In regards to the plans and policy of the French government, we are looking to actively promote peace and prosperity across the world, as well as maintaining a united and strong Europe. However, we do maintain that our country will not hesitate in retaliating should our own security or the security of Europe be at risk. We hope that by creating strong bonds and good co-operation between countries, that we would not encounter such threats. May I ask, what your defensive posture and policy is?

Many regards,

Pascal Dupont

We are glad to hear that France's peaceful yet proactive defense posture. The same can be described with Philippines' defense posture. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is still in the process of rebuilding it's capabilities. Part of this rebuilding is the acquisition of military hardware that will complement our AFP doctrines and fulfill our defense needs. We had successful military equipment transactions with your predecessors. We would like to know we can expect the same from your government.

Sincerely yours,
