Subject: Missile Strike

On behalf of the Government of the Portuguese Republic, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Egypt in light of the recent missile strike on the naval base in the Red Sea. We are saddened by the loss of life and the damage caused by this attack, and Portugal stands in solidarity with Egypt during this difficult time. In an effort to assist with the investigation and contribute to regional stability, we kindly request access to the missile debris from the strike for forensic analysis. Portugal wishes to support Egypt in identifying the missile's origin, and we are prepared to collaborate with your investigative teams to conduct a thorough examination of the remnants. This cooperation could provide crucial insights into the parties responsible for this tragic event.

We fully respect Egypt's sovereignty and will ensure our efforts are in line with your established procedures. Please let us know how we may proceed with this request and any steps required to formalize access to the debris.

Once again, our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we are committed to assisting Egypt in any way we can. We look forward to your response.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Secretary of State,
Luis Amado

Mr. Amado,

Thank you and your government for reaching out to us in a time of need. This assault on Egyptian sovereignty is frankly unacceptable. We have already begun the investigative process and have invited international partners to join in the investigation of the attack. Egyptian investigative teams will be setting up near the site of the attack, and American investigative teams have been invited as well to participate in the investigation.

I invite your teams to Egypt. If you would be gracious enough to cooperate with our efforts, I believe we could quickly uncover the perpetrator of this attack. Please let me know if you would still like to aid our investigation. Thank you.

Best,
Zero Jabour

The Portuguese Republic is deeply committed to supporting international stability and ensuring maritime security in the Red Sea. In light of recent events, we welcome the opportunity to contribute our expertise to the ongoing investigation in Egypt. Portugal will dispatch a team of 10 highly qualified experts to collaborate with Egyptian authorities and other international teams working on this matter.

These experts will focus on forensic analysis, ballistic assessments, and maritime security, providing their insights to help uncover the origins and perpetrators of the recent attack. We hope that their work will contribute meaningfully to achieving justice and safeguarding critical shipping routes in the region.

Please provide the necessary logistical details for their arrival, and we will ensure the team is ready to deploy at your earliest convenience. Portugal stands with Egypt in its pursuit of security and justice and reaffirms its commitment to regional security.
