PROJECT INFORMATION | Argentinian president Adolfo Cambiasso has unveiled a plan to boost international and domestic routes, and improve infrastructure among the country’s airports. The country is investing $1.4 billion USD into improving aviation infrastructure into the coming months. Nineteen airports will undergo modernization efforts under the plan, which will also provide funds for upgrading navigation technology and other equipment. The plan, will include works in the infrastructure and systems of the following argentine airports: Jorge Newbery (Buenos Aires) Ministro Pistarini (Buenos Aires) Pajas Blancas (Cordoba) Neuquen (Neuquen) El Plumerillo (Mendoza) Bahia Blanca (Bunos Aires) Bariloche (Rio Negro) Mar del Plata (Buenos Aires) Salta Int. (Salta) San Salvador de Jujuy Int. (Jujuy) San Juan Int. (San Juan) Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego) Tucuman (Tucuman) Resistencia (Chaco) Santa Rosa (La Pampa) Posadas (Misiones) Trelew (Rio Negro) El Calafate (Santa Cruz) Rosario (Santa Fe) The expansion and upgrades include, but are not limited to, runway extension, construction of additional runways, modernization/expansion of passenger terminal, modernization/upgrade of cargo terminal, update of security and migration systems and networks, construction of parking places and zoning for small bussiness and offices.
