PROJECTPort Expansion Program
PROJECT COST5,000,000,000.00
COMPLETION DATE24/06/2021
PROJECT INFORMATIONNATIONAL PORT EXPANSION PROGRAM
In order to better and more efficiently accomodate and manage the influx and transit of commercial goods and products, the National Government has announced the improvement and expansion of the infrastructure on all major ports of the Argentine Republic.

Seaports:
- Port of Buenos Aires
- Port of Bahia Blanca
- Port of Ushuaia

River ports:
- Arroyo Seco
- Rosario
- San Lorenzo-San Martin

The access to those ports, and maneuvering area would be expanded through the dragging of new waterways and sectors, to allow increased traffic and lower turn-around times. This would be accompanied by the installation of a new beacon and direction system to facilitate the work of the crews and harbor pilots, recuding at the same time the risk of incidents and collisions.

Additional docking spaces would be constructed, with their corresponding set of cranes and equipment to load/unload and resupply cargo and personnel.

Additional warehouses and silos would be constructed, including areas destined for the parking of shipping containers and covered parking spaces for vehicles. Fuel and liquid storages would be constructed, both to supply docked ships as well as for temporary holding of commercial products.

Security protocols and infrastructure would be improved to avoid breachs and guarantee the safety of all operations and handled goods.

Customs offices would be expanded at all locations to allow quicker processing times.
