PROJECT INFORMATION | With the planned acquisition of 96 Hauk-class Patrol Vessels, 48 Kobben-class Submarines, and 48 submarine chasers; the Chinese navy has placed forth a infrastructure project to build bunkers to dock them all safely and comfortably. The government has agreed to fund this infrastructure project to build a total of 16 bunkers connected to the China Seas to give the vessels enough room to dock and allow them to remain ready to strike against submarine forces quickly and efficiently. All bases would be built relatively far away from any settlement and would well concealed under mountains to avoid detection from the air or from satellites, the waters nearby would also be patrolled by the Chinese Coast Guard to assure that no ships or civilian comes close to the bunkers. On land, fences would be built around the bunkers with soldiers patrolling and assuring no trespassers. Above land there would be enough accommodations for all the boats and submarines operatives along with signal operators and officers along with the patrolling guards. There would also be one access to each of the bunkers from the surface. Within each bunkers themselves: enough space for 6 patrol boats, 3 submarines, and 3 submarine chasers to moor, equipment to perform mechanical and maintenance on the boats, submarines, and the bunkers themselves, each bunker would be reinforced to resist bombardment, generators to power the bunkers and the base above in the case that the electricity is severed, and lastly there would be storage for supplies and ammunition. The locations of the sixteen bunkers would be as followed: Bailong Peninsula (21°30'14.2"N 108°13'26.0"E) named Bailong Base. Southern Hainan Island (18°25'11.8"N 108°54'09.5"E) named Xigu Base.
