| PROJECT INFORMATION | The Procurment Research Facility, or PRF, is the research, develop and design sustainment division of the Ministry of Defence for the NZDF. PRF's roles include devloping new systems, or upgrading old ones, for the NZDF based on the MPO's identified requirements. The organisation uses New Zealand's industry and business, such as the Pacific Air Corporation, to develop or upgrade systems. The PRF is mainly for developing low-difficulty systems, such as training aircraft, patrol boats or transport vehicles. The PRF is co-located at the Ministry of Defence's headquarters at 34 Bowen Street, Wellington, although many of its employees work at universities or businesses with their host. The organisation usually has about 500 employees at any time, with 400 of them directly working on projects. |
