| PROJECT INFORMATION | The General Intelligence Directorate, often referred to as the Mukhabarat is the Egyptian intelligence agency responsible for providing national security intelligence, both domestically and transnationally, with a counter-terrorism focus. It is in charge of all transnational intelligence operations. The GID will occupy a newly and specially built complex in the outskirts of Cairo. The complex consists of several buildings housing administrative, operative and training/drill areas, as well as a communication center and underground bunkers and parking spaces. It has its own power generators and secure emergency control rooms (underground as well). All communications in and out would be encrypted and a security perimeter would be established, to guarantee the privacy of the operations and events occuring inside. |
