| PROJECT INFORMATION | The Federal Ministry of Defence has given the official "green light" to begin construction on a series of military facilities dedicated to to the research, testing, and development of all new equipment of the Armed Forces in conjunction with the newly nationalized entity of Reichland Defence OHG. In accordance with the demands of Reichland Defence & the Federal Ministry of Defence, the Centers for Testing & Development of the Armed Forces — der Zentren für Erprobung und Entwicklung der Streitkräfte — will have three main facilities to be utilized. The Center for Development & Equipment Testing — Zentrum für Entwicklung und Gerätetest — will be located at L33 9, 15344 Strausberg, Brandenberg, at the specific coordinates of 52°35'41.8"N 13°55'20.0"E. It will be connected to Oberkommando des Heeres, and will have access to the barracks and amenities of the currently existing facility; furthermore, the north-eastern fields shall be converted to a fire-testing range for all new equipment that require it — such as artillery, tank guns, and personnel equipment, and the airfield utilized by the facility will provide the testing of new aircraft in design, requiring an expansion of an additional 2 runways and hangars for new aircraft. Time of completion is estimated to be within the estimation of mid-October (April 4th, 2019), but is expected to be semi-operational with part of the live-fire testing range and temporary amenities set up at the connected Army Headquarters by the start of August. The Centers for Military Research — Zentren für militärische Forschung und Entwicklung — also referred to as the "Reich/State/Royal Arsenal" will be an expansion of the Armed Forces High Command headquarters in Bonn, with a secondary expansion at the Berlin Armed Forces High Command headquarters in Berlin planned after completion at the end of July (1 March, 2019). The new renovations will allow for military designers to come up with new equipment designs rather handily with all of the equipment that may be required, including new and heavily encrypted data servers, a machining center, a supercomputer (codenamed "Beethoven") for simulations of new equipment designs, and an additional barracks for all research personnel on-site. These centers can work on naval, ground-based, and aerial research as needed. The Center for Naval Development — Zentrum für Marineentwicklung — will be located at the current location of Bolm & Voss Shipyards in Hamburg, with attention given to naval research & development that can fit the Armed Forces' needs; it is directly connected to the Reich/State/Royal Arsenal in Berlin and Bonn via representatives that will be hired for the Centers for Military Research. It will be equipped with all of the necessary amenities for naval developments and research, including the procurement of the Blohm + Voss Repair for ship docking & testing after development by one of Germany's drydocks. However, the necessary procurement and amenities to begin naval research will not be available until the start of November (13 April, 2019), despite the facility being appropriately staffed and equipped, due to legal concerns with Blohm + Voss Repair. |
