| PROJECT INFORMATION | The Congolese Bureau of Information is the intelligence agency of the Congo. It is a five-story building in Kinshasa, within view of the Palace of the People. There are no external windows. There are four subterranean levels, The bottom two are for storage of data, the bottommost being sensitive data and the other being less sensitive, and mainly to store gathered intelligence. The next floor up, Basement level 2, is completely filled with Decryption technology. A machine sorts unencrypted data and sends encrypted data to hundreds of complex machines that work endlessly to quickly and efficiently decrypt data, which is then sent to other machines for sorting into important info, which is then transported to Basement level 3 for storage. Finally, basement level 1 is the secure communications floor encompassing the entirety of the government and the military's communications. This floor is dedicated to detecting and tracing wiretaps, leaking information, and cyber security breaches, as well as encrypting all communications. Floor 1, or groundfloor, contains the armories for the Counter-Terrorist units, as well as reception and clerks for the buildings busywork. Floor 2 and 3 are dedicated to the Intelligence gathering and Counterintelligence branches, this is where field agents communicate with their allies and are fed information, as well as where they deposit it and are briefed on new missions. Floor 4 is the headquarters for the Congolese Defense and Countermeasures Agency, where all radar data and reports are surveyed and stored. Under the personal command of Hamisi Falana, they protect the nation. The 4th floor is also shared by the national police force's headquarters. Finally, the 5th floor contains further decryption equipment. |
