PROJECT NAMEThe Grand Infrastructure Overhaul
PROJECT COST10,000,000,000.00
COMPLETION DATE29/12/2026
PROJECT INFORMATIONThe Grand Infrastructure Overhaul:

Scope of Works:

Highways Upgrades: A focus on expanding and resurfacing main highways between all major cities and arterial roads in and out of towns and cities. An improvement to rural roads connecting smaller towns together by resurfacing the roads to reduce travel time and increase road safety. A full overhaul of the highway code to enforce stricter road laws to ensure safety and sensibility on the roads. This will be combined with an overhaul of urban traffic management systems, furthering motorist, cyclist and pedestrian safety and in turn will aid in reducing congestion within towns and cities.
Sewage and Drainage Upgrades: Improvement to below ground drainage networks throughout urban and semi-urban towns and cities to ensure that all homes have adequate sewage and drainage and linking the networks to the pre-existing water treatment centres. Removal of above ground sewage pipes in industrial and installing below ground pipes in their place which will reduce the chances of damage to pipes and leakage of pollutants. Removal of old cast iron drainage pipes and replaced with up to date pipework.
Public Transport Network Upgrades: The introduction of state run bus networks, free to use by all citizens. This bus network will link suburban areas to major cities and inter-city bus routes and will also be home to ‘Park and Ride’ centres for rural citizens to park outside the city and use free transport to access major cities. This network will improve transit networks and reduce inner city congestion and will see a reduction in all types of pollution. The buses will be state of the art hydrogen powered buses to further reduce the carbon footprint of the country and show our dedication to creating a more sustainable form of transport.
Rail Network Upgrades: The introduction of state run train networks connecting major cities via a high speed rail system. This network will allow our people to travel between cities in a much shorter time span and will allow for citizens to access opportunities further afield than they previously could. This will also be accompanied by a sleeper train network for citizens who are travelling cross country which they can do overnight via this system. It will connect the furthest reaches of the sub-continent together and make more cities accessible than previously. All trains introduced will be electric powered, replacing the previous diesel locomotives in an attempt to reduce carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels.
Broadband and Telecommunication Upgrades: Increase the broadband and telecommunication cabling both above and below ground for all major towns and cities and replace redundant and outdated cabling with new up to date cables where required. This is to ensure that as many citizens have access to the internet and telecommunications as possible, giving them the freedom to access worldwide information. Upon completion this project will be considered for expansion to further rural areas upon a national consensus from the citizens.

All of the aforementioned works will be assisted by the armed forces and as such labour costs will be subsidised by the use of military personnel. Current serving personnel will be made aware of ongoing infrastructure upgrades and will be on a rotational deployment to assist with the works.
