PROJECT INFORMATION | $1,000,000,000 to be spent on Crime Prevention. Police prevention Article 2, Crime Prevention Resolution 1998 1 The Korps Landelijke Politiediensten (Korps National Police Services) will receive an additional $650,000,000 of funding to support their efforts. 2 The main goal of this extra funding is to get more wijkagenten (neigbourhood police) with the specific task of getting to know their community and prevent risk groups from commiting crimes. 3 Regiokorpsen (Regional Corps) can use their judgement to distribute these extra resources, with the goal of using them were they will be most effective. 4 These extra funds can also be used to have more preventive patrols in areas where crimes have happened frequently. Troubled youth prevention Article 3, Crime Prevention Resolution 1998 1 Jeugdzorg Nederland (Youth Care Services) will receive an additional $350,000,000 of funding to support their efforts. 2 This extra funding shall be spent on youth at risk of commiting crime, to prevent them from doing so. 3 The experts working at Jeugdzorg Nederland can use their expertise and judgement to specifically allocate these resources, keeping the goal of clause 2 in mind. Over the course of 4 months (IC) additional personnel will be hired, current personnel will be trained further to take on the tasks as detailed above. |
