PROJECT | Affordable Housing in Lisbon's Suburbs |
PROJECT COST | 400,000,000.00 |
COMPLETION DATE | 22/07/2024 |
PROJECT INFORMATION | The Affordable Housing Project in Lisbon's suburbs aims to address the pressing need for affordable housing options by developing modern, cost-effective residential units. This initiative involves the construction of multiple housing complexes designed to provide safe, comfortable, and affordable living spaces for low- and middle-income families. The project will prioritize sustainability, incorporating energy-efficient building materials and green technologies to minimize environmental impact and reduce long-term living costs for residents. Key components of the project include the design and construction of flats buildings, the development of community facilities, and the integration of essential services and infrastructure. Rents would go directly to the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, however residents that stay more than 5 years, can buy their flat, with the price being discounted by the ammount of rent they have already payed. The project will enhance the quality of life for residents by offering affordable housing solutions, reducing the strain on Lisbon's central housing market, and promoting social inclusion. Each housing complex will feature amenities such as community centers, playgrounds, green spaces, and access to public transportation, fostering a sense of community and improving residents' overall well-being. The development will be carried out in collaboration with local authorities, non-profit organizations, and private sector partners to ensure the project meets the needs of the community and adheres to regulatory standards. Through proactive community engagement and outreach programs, the project aims to involve future residents in the planning process, ensuring the development reflects their needs and preferences. The 0.4 billion dollars cost account for expenses for land acquisition, architectural and engineering design, construction of residential units, development of community facilities, and installation of necessary infrastructure. Additional costs include regulatory compliance, community engagement initiatives, and ongoing maintenance and operational expenses. |
