PROJECT INFORMATION | In order to defend the Portuguese vast coast, and its allies from possible incursions, invasions, anti-piracy, smuggling. Nine Thales LW08 long-range surveillance radar with a range of 260 kilometers will be constructed in various key secret locations away from public eye to constantly survey the maritime area around them, this radar is in service with the Portuguese Navy on various frigates and vessels, they will always be manned by the Portuguese Armed Forces with at least 3 personnel guarding it. This would also serve to control Ship traffic into Portuguese Ports. They will be constructed on top of steel and concrete pillars, in the shape of a tall triangle with a protective non intrusive dome to protect the Radar from the weather. Decision of where the Radar locations were to be was heavily researched and meticulously planned to ensure maximum operational capability and protection. All locations are highly top secret and all positions feed constantly directly to the closest Military Naval Base with no outside connection possible.
