| PROJECT INFORMATION | A large-scale solar power plant will be constructed near Praia, designed to supply up to 60% of Santiago Island’s energy needs. This flagship project is part of Portugal’s clean energy transition strategy in its overseas territories, reducing fossil fuel dependency and energy import costs. The plant will significantly increase energy security and lower household and business energy bills. A dedicated Renewable Energy and Maintenance Training Centre will be included, developing local expertise and creating long-term skilled employment. |
