PROJECT INFORMATIONInspired by the recent success of Chinese efficiency and scale of modular prefabrication construction techniques, 3 prefabrication factories will be constructed in Tanzania (Dodoma, Dar es Salaam and Arusha) to significantly increase the construction efficiency and sustainability of new, primarily residential, developments.

Objectives:
  • Target Output: 9,000 housing units/year
  • Focus: Affordable housing, schools, hospitals, and government infrastructure
  • Construction speed 40-60% faster than traditional construction techniques

Each site will adhere to the same specifications as show below:

Total Site Area - 20,000 m² (5 acres)
Production Facility - 8,000 m² (includes casting bays, steelworks, curing zones, MEP line)
Warehouse & Storage - 3,000 m² for materials and finished components
Office & Admin Building - 1,000 m² (includes offices, canteen, training centre, and medical room)
Transport & Loading Bays - 2,000 m² for HGV access, loading and dispatch
Open Yard / Expansion Space - 6,000 m² for future growth or outdoor curing/storage

Production Capacity
  • Target Output: 3,000 housing units/year
  • Components: Modular walls, slabs, beams, staircases, MEP modules, bathroom/kitchen pods

Machinery Overview
  • Automated rebar bending and cutting machines
  • Concrete batching plant (modular, mobile)
  • Casting tables & vibration equipment
  • Pre-stressed concrete system
  • MEP module assembly conveyors
  • Curing chambers (steam/solar)
  • Gantry cranes and forklifts

Localisation & Sustainability
  • Local Sourcing: Sand, gravel, cement, and steel from Tanzanian suppliers
  • Solar Panels: For power backup and sustainability
  • Rainwater Harvesting: For non-potable use in curing/washing
  • Modular Design: Adaptable for local housing styles
