Compliance and Ethical Oversight
  • Compliance Certifying Authority: National Ethical Oversight Board (NEOB)
  • Ethical Review Status: Approved (Unanimous)
  • Environmental Impact Assessment: Conducted by Environmental Conservation Council of Thailand
  • Public Transparency: All project documents available on the National Digital Archive
Citizen Participation
  • Citizen Feedback Sessions: 500 Sessions Nationwide
  • Digital Polling and Surveys: 46.3 Million Responses Collected
  • Public Forums and Debates: Conducted in All Provinces
Expected Impact and Outcome
  • Economic Autarky: By mid-2009, 60% of household non-food goods will be produced locally, creating further resilience against external capitalist sanctions or blockades.
  • Labor Token Deflation: As goods are produced locally, the "Socially Necessary Labor Time" required to produce them will be reduced significantly, contributing further to post-scarcity goals.
  • State Power Erosion: As local communes can produce certain goods locally, the conditions for confederal or provincial dependency will be reduced.
  • Reduced Objective Alienation: As people can produce certain goods locally without relying on the larger, distant infrastructure, they are empowered to create values that belong to them.
  • More Defensive Resilience: In case of an imperialist aggression by the capitalist armed forces, as long as logistics remain viable, targeted attacks against centralized production plants become less effective.
Post-Implementation Review
  • Scheduled Review Date: April 15, 2010
  • Reviewing Authorities:
    • National Audit Office
    • Independent Citizen Review Committee (ICRC)
    • Institute for Open and Decentralized Governance
    • Participatory Democracy Research Institute
    • Regional Economic Impact Assessment Board

Decentralized Automatic Fabrication Network is a confederal project aims to construct and maintain a fabrication laboratory in every commune part of the Socialist Republic of Thailand. The goal will be to reinforce the independence of each Community Assembly in production of non-food goods without relying on the infrastructure maintained by the provincial federation and shared with other communities.

The project will either build a new building or reconfigure existing infrastructure to house a local fabrication laboratory. Utilizing 3D Printing technology and experiences from the Advanced Manufacturing Clusters, these labs will be housed with some industrial-grade 3D printers that can handle a diverse array of materials, ranging from various polymers to different metals. A small but functional zone will be dedicated to facilities for both pre- and post-processing tasks. These include material preparation, heat treatment, surface finishing, and a specialized computational unit for CAD/CAM operations, simulations, and optimizations, ensuring a holistic approach to additive manufacturing. However, the scale is local and not as expansive and comprehensive as seen in the Advanced Manufacturing Clusters.

Each commune will manage and own its fabrication laboratory. However, the internet would allow for each commune to download and produce designs freely shared by other people. Security measures and network technologies will be up to modern standards.
